How to design a chicken farm

Chicken farm construction:

The size of the area depends on the feeding method and density. The length of henhouse generally depends on the span of henhouse and the degree of mechanization of management. A henhouse with a span of 6 ~ 10 meter is generally 30 ~ 60 meters long; A hen house with a large span, such as 12m, is generally 70-80m long. The span of the henhouse should not be too large, and the open henhouse should be less than 9.5 meters, so natural ventilation can achieve good results. A chicken coop with a higher degree of mechanization can be longer, but generally it should not exceed 100 m, otherwise it is more difficult to manufacture and install mechanical equipment and materials. The span of the simple henhouse is about 6 meters, and the height (from the eaves to the ground) is below 2.4 meters. The height of laying hens is about 3 meters, or the distance from the top cage to the roof is 1 ~ 1.5 meters. If it is a high-bed closed henhouse, the height is generally 4.5 ~ 5 meters (higher than the general henhouse 1.8 ~ 2 meters) because there is a cesspit at the lower part.

To build a chicken farm, we should consider the following issues:

1. site selection: whether the chicken house construction is scientific and reasonable is directly related to the production capacity of broilers and the profit of raising chickens, so we must pay attention to it. If you want to build a new chicken farm, you should choose a place with dry terrain, good soil quality, north to south, and sunny lee, which is conducive to thermal insulation in winter, ventilation in all seasons, lighting and drainage. If we want to expand the scale, we must leave room for development.

2. Transportation: The transportation to the chicken farm should be convenient and the roads should be good, which is convenient for the transportation of materials such as chicken, feed and padding, as well as the transportation of broilers and feces.

3. Water and electricity: Water and electricity are necessary conditions for chicken production. When choosing a chicken farm, we must consider whether the electricity there can meet the needs of peak production. Power failure for a long time is not allowed, especially when brooding, the henhouse needs temperature and light, and power failure will cause chicks to die at low temperature. The water quality should be clean and pollution-free, preferably deep wells or disinfected tap water, river water, pond water or water with excessive chloride ion without high temperature disinfection, and it should not be given to chickens.
