If you look at all the glitz and understand the emptiness of Buddhism and Taoism, is life still meaningful?

We study Buddhism for different purposes. Many people have their own perspectives. Buddha Sakyamuni told us in the Lotus Sutra that the reason why he taught Buddhism was to let all beings gain supreme wisdom. Wisdom of Buddha, wisdom of consciousness. Why should we have such wisdom? Because without this wisdom, we will suffer. Only this kind of wisdom can solve and alleviate our pain.

There are joys and pains in the world. In fact, what we call happiness is not real happiness. To be precise, it should be pain relief, and it is short-term relief. For example, when we eat, we are very happy because it relieves hunger and our greed for food. If this desire is not satisfied, it is painful.

Another example is the happiness of wealth, but the alleviation of poverty. If money can really bring happiness, then so many rich people should not commit suicide. They are so miserable that they think that death may be happier. Of course, it is also true that poverty is more painful in comparison.

This is the way most people seek happiness. Seeking a painful release.

Buddhism is not. What Buddhism seeks is the root of this kind of pain. If this root cause cannot be found, then the pain will continue to occur. Even with temporary relief, happiness, as we say, can't last forever.

How did the pain come from? This stems from a misunderstanding. From a wrong cognition. Buddhism calls this ignorance. "Jue Yuan Jing" says: Why should the cloud be ignorant? Good people. All beings. Start from scratch. Various reversals. This is a fascinating place. Mistaken the four big ones for themselves. The shadow of the six dust fate is the self-heart. For example, there are flowers in the sky and flowers in February. Good people. Empty and flowerless. The patient is fascinated by it. Grasp the reason wrongly.

We mistakenly think that this body is "me", but what we see, hear, smell, taste and think. It's our hearts. This combination of body and mind constitutes "I". This "I" has become the most practical dependence. With the cognition of "I", what I have is what I have. What I like, what I hate, what I oppose, what I support, what I believe, what I don't believe, etc. This is all my place.

With these two points. Me and my institute. All the pain came into being. Jing Yun: Counting what I did, I built various industries and suffered from life and death. I like it, but it will be very painful if I don't get it. I want to have a beautiful wife and family, but if I can't get it, it will be very painful, even painful. Something I hate, but I can't destroy it, it will be very painful. Even I am tired of all this. I want to find a way to make myself painless. I want to become a Buddha and an immortal, and I want to pursue it, but I still have pain.

This is the root of all pain. If this kind of pain can be temporarily relieved, it is what we call joy. Of course, this joy is hard to last, and it will not last forever. Because this is not real happiness. True happiness should be as solid as King Kong. True happiness is not false, it is already there, no one can take it away, it will not increase or decrease, it will exist forever. If you need the efforts and conditions of the borrower to achieve it, then it is definitely not true happiness.

True happiness must be innate and will not mutate, otherwise it will become a painful liberation.

If there is such happiness, and it is what we already have, then where is it? How can we not experience it?

This is because we have established an effective barrier. Hinder happiness. We use "I" and "what I do" to hinder the happiness we already have. Like people with countless wealth, they refuse to think that they are the owners of these wealth. We mistook a body and mind, so we gave up our original perfect happiness.

Maybe someone will say, really? Is this happiness really made happier by our five desires? Is it really more enjoyable than food and wealth jewelry? Yes, this kind of happiness is better and more perfect than all five desires mentioned above. Because it has no limit, no burden, it is free, it has no beginning and end, it is perfect and eternal. And it won't bring any pain.

This kind of happiness is hard to describe in words. It is unimaginable when we are still burdened with all kinds of obstacles and shackles. As the classic says: Besides, we can measure the realm of Tathagata with a thoughtful mind. But what can be guaranteed is that this source of happiness is absolutely more perfect and complete than everything that language can describe and promise.

Although there is still a little happiness in this world for us to feel from time to time, do you still feel: Is it really enough? This place is as disturbing and painful as a burning house. How can we get rid of this pain and get real happiness?

Sakyamuni Buddha showed us a very clear and straightforward way: never be ignorant and you will become a Buddha. Without the "me" and "my place" and the obstacle set out of thin air, the truth is here, and it has not moved at all.

How to cut it off? This obstacle is set out of thin air and has no reason to follow. It doesn't exist. It's illusory. Like a magic flower in the air, it doesn't exist at all. "The Cause of Good and Evil in Zhancha" says: It is like illusion, moon in water, mirror, dry city, empty valley, sun flame, bubble, dew, lamp, dream, electricity and cloud. Is changeable and unreal.

What should we do to cure this illusory obstacle? Sakyamuni Buddha told everyone: knowing illusion means leaving. You just need to know it, observe it and understand it. Realize that its essence does not exist and is not true. Naturally, the back will be far away from all these illusions. Stay away from all the influences of this illusion. Get rid of it naturally and gradually.

What we usually care about is the thought of "I". It thinks so, and so do we. It recognizes, we admit, it remembers, we cherish, it longs, and we agree. What we have to do is to understand observation, recognize observation and stay away from observation. Do not support, recognize, disagree, or even care. The shackles will gradually fall off. Everything comes naturally.

In the idealistic view of knowledge, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha said: At all times and in all countries, do your homework with your mouth and heart, and observe carefully, only know what heart is. Even all fields, if you are mindful, you should be aware of it. .............................................................................................................................................................

At any time, anywhere, whatever we do, we should observe and investigate where it comes from. We will find that all this comes from our own minds. All the joys and sorrows of the realm come from the mind. Otherwise, no one will be sad because of the full moon, and some will be happy because of the full moon. We examine all our inner thoughts, feelings, thoughts and judgments one by one.

Feel free to ask me what I'm thinking. What do you feel? Slowly, I will know that all this is just an illusory delusion, because it is changing at any time, dying with life, life and death. There is nothing eternal and fixed.

To be continued.
