A misspelled story in life

More famous: Biyang and Qinyang.

1930 In May, Chiang Kai-shek, Feng Yuxiang and Yan Xishan launched a large-scale Central Plains war in southern Henan, and both sides used more than1100,000 troops. Before the war, Feng Yuxiang and Yan Xishan agreed to meet up in Qinyang, northern Henan, in order to better attack Chiang Kai-shek, and then concentrated their forces on annihilating Chiang Kai-shek stationed in Henan. However, one of Feng Yuxiang's operational staff mistakenly wrote "Qinyang" as "Biyang" when drafting the order. There happens to be Biyang in the south of Henan, which is several hundred kilometers away from Qinyang. In this way, Feng Yuxiang's army mistakenly entered Biyang, thus delaying the annihilation of Chiang Kai-shek's favorable fighters and allowing Chiang Kai-shek to win the initiative. In this half-year Central Plains War, Feng Yuxiang's troops were passively beaten everywhere, which eventually led to Jiang's victory and the failure of Feng Yuxiang and Yan Xishan's allied forces.
