Also known as toluene diisocyanate.
It is an organic compound with a strong pungent smell, which has a strong irritating effect on skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Long-term exposure or inhalation of high concentration TDI can cause bronchitis, allergic asthma, pneumonia, pulmonary edema and so on.
Usually just for decoration.
Prevention methods:
Because TDI in living environment mainly exists in indoor air, the source of TDI should be controlled to prevent the harm of TDI:
1. For interior decoration, try to use paints and adhesives that meet the national standard of Limit of Hazardous Substances in Building Interior Decoration Materials. Choose mattresses and sofas made by regular manufacturers.
2. For materials that have no limit standards for hazardous substances at present, other materials without TDI can be selected, or the TDI content can be controlled according to the existing national limit standards for hazardous substances.
3. For newly renovated rooms, keep the indoor air ventilated and purified. This is an effective way to remove indoor harmful gases, and effective indoor air purifiers and ventilation devices can be selected. Or open the window for ventilation when the outdoor air is good, which is beneficial to the emission and discharge of indoor harmful gases.
4. Don't move into the decorated bedroom immediately. After the living room decoration is completed, keep the house well ventilated and wait for all kinds of harmful substances to be released for a period of time before living. Newly built plastic sites should also be dried for a period of time before use, or pay attention to minimize the use when the temperature is high.
Don't rush to put the newly bought furniture such as mattress and sofa into the living room. It is best to let the harmful gases in the furniture release for a period of time as soon as possible.
6. Strengthen the detection and control of indoor environmental pollution. Newly renovated rooms must pass the inspection before acceptance and delivery. If serious indoor air pollution is found, you can call 800-8 10-8968 for free consultation and testing indoor environmental pollution.
I hope it helps you:)
