Duozhuang Village was built in the early Song Dynasty. It is said that this village was destroyed by the earthquake and flood, and people rebuilt the village on the ruins, so it was renamed Duozhuang, which later evolved into Duozhuang.
1938 was the ninth district of Yishui county.
1940 was assigned to yinan county, 1956 to Mengyin County, 1958 established Meng Lianggu Commune (named after Meng Lianggu Mountain), and later changed to Duozhuang Commune, 1985 called Duozhuang Town.
