The Feng Shui Pagoda of Cuilang Pagoda

Ganzhou is a land of wind and water in Yang Gong, influenced by Yang Gong's geomantic omen. Since ancient times, Hakkas have especially believed that transforming geomantic omen can revitalize the imperial examination. There are more than 40 ancient pagodas in Gannan, which have been rebuilt since Ming and Qing Dynasties. Almost all of these pagodas are Wenfeng Pagoda and Shuikou Tower, which can fill gaps, block gas and suppress water disasters, and meet people's expectations for prosperity. These towers are called feng shui towers.

Judging from the situation of Luantou around Ganzhou City, the only beautiful scenery that can be seen is Yuanfeng, that is, Kongtong Mountain. Therefore, the ancient government, temples, Taoist temples, Confucius temples and schools in Ganzhou were mostly in the direction of Ganshan. From the perspective of geomantic omen, Cuilang Pagoda is located in Yangmeidu area in the west of Ganzhou, all of which are low-lying hills. The Wenfeng Pagoda erected here can fill the gap, and at the same time, it can set each other off with Yangmeidu Bridge, lock Zhangjiang and play the role of Shuikou Tower.
