Where is Haojiawan?

Haojiawan is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Haojiawan cultural landscape is located in Haojiawan Village, Banqiao Miao and Tujia Township, Sinan County. It is a natural village dominated by the Hao family, with a history of nearly 600 years, inhabited by more than 50 families/kloc-0. Haojiawan Village, which was founded in Jingtai period of Ming Dynasty, originated from Haojia ancestors who entered Qianping Miao rebellion from Huanyou Town, Shandong Province and chose Banqiao to settle down. According to the topography, it was named Haojiawan. In the early years of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty, later generations Hao Chaoxiang returned to his hometown from Zhenyuan "Lin Wenlang" and built his own mansion with the ideal of geomantic surveying and mapping. Organizers, according to the layout of the "Eight Diagrams Array" and the norms of geomantic omen, carefully built the village, and then formed a well-preserved ancient cultural landscape of Haojiawan. 1June, 988, Haojiawan Village was announced as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

In Haojiawan, which is surrounded by mountains and waters, most of the residential buildings in the village are in a regular layout, facing the mountain, facing north and facing south, embracing the sunshine, forming a double arch curve with low front and high back, high sides and low middle. The building level rises, and the doors overlap and are patchy. The 100-acre terraced fields reclaimed by the Hao family on the hillside behind the village have created a peaceful life for Hao Jiaying in the era of farming economy. The spring water on the underground hillside will not dry up all year round. The spring water flows into the stream, and after passing through the fields on the back slope, a ditch with a length of about 800 meters is artificially laid, and it passes through the village in an S shape. 100 many stone courtyards stand beside it, connected by criss-crossing bluestone alleys, making the layout of the village like Yin and Yang Taiji gossip, like an endless paradise.

The cultural landscape of Haojiawan is the result of long-term interaction between human beings and nature. It records the local political, economic, cultural and military information, and fully embodies the ancient architectural ideas, aesthetic concepts, people-oriented survival concepts and the characteristics of mountain architecture. It is a rare physical basis for studying the historical changes, architectural science and technology, art of life and military affairs in eastern Guizhou.
