The Qing tomb was originally Dongling, and the emperor was buried in Dongling in the early Qing Dynasty. Xiling was built by Yong Zhengdi, and Dongling was originally chosen by Yong Zhengdi, but he gave up the chosen cemetery for some reasons. Looking for other places outside Dongling, I chose my own tomb. This is the Xiling in the back.
Why didn't Yongzheng want to bury himself in Dongling? Only he knows the reason. He has a bad relationship with his father and doesn't want to be buried, but there is reason not to stand here. At that time, Yongzheng declared that the feng shui of Dongling was not very good, so he chose Xiling with better feng shui.
Ganlong is the son of Yongzheng. According to the tradition of the ancients, all sons wanted to be buried with their fathers. Qianlong originally wanted to choose his own grave to go to Xiling with Yongzheng.
But then he remembered a problem. If he is buried in Xiling, his son will also be buried in Xiling. Will Dongling be lonely for a long time? Later generations go to Xiling on holidays. In a few hundred years, future generations will be farther and farther away from the ancestors of Dongling. The fragrance of Dongling should not be so strong. It's getting colder and colder.
The problem considered by Qianlong is very realistic and has the possibility of becoming a reality.
So Qianlong changed his mind and chose to bury Dongling, and decided. Emperors after him must implement strict rules.
What is Zhao Mu system? This system comes from Zhou Li and is a very old etiquette in history.
This system roughly divides the family inheritance into two parts, one is Zhao and the other is Mu.
The father is Zhao and the son is Mu. The grandson's name is Zhao and the grandson's name is Mu. This will sort the spacing.
In ancient times, when worshipping ancestors, the arrangement of memorial tablets and the sequence of family cemeteries were all carried out in accordance with Zhao Mu's system. According to the structure of the pyramid, the ancestors are at the top, and the descendants are divided into two columns according to Zhao Mu, which are arranged in a triangular structure.
The rules of Qianlong and Dinglong are also very simple. It is separated between offspring. Father buried Dongling, son buried Xiling, Sun buried Dongling, Xuansun buried Xiling.
Bury in this interval. Both of these things are very popular. During the festival, neither side will be left out in the cold.
