People who passed away, people who gave birth to heaven (people have great goodness in this life, and will give birth to heaven after death), there is no need to be seven in birth and death! But most people have the bad habit of karma. If he goes astray, goes astray in three ways, or can be reincarnated as a human being in the next life, he is still an ordinary person, not a rich man, but an ordinary person with yin. Generally, the yin in the middle exists for 49 days, which is seven sevens. He changes his life and death every seven days, that is to say, he has great pain every seven days!
At this time, chanting for him or confessing to his practice can alleviate his pain. This is said in the Sakyamuni Sutra of the Tibetan Bodhisattva. Therefore, the seventh practice comes from the book "The Wishing Sutra of Tibetan Bodhisattva". You will know after reading this classic. So people decided not to commit suicide. Suicide is really painful. Why? The person who committed suicide died, that is, the bardo committed suicide every seven days.
He did it more than once. It's gone. He must repeat it every seven days. Very painful! For example, hang yourself every seven days. If he dies of poisoning, he will take it once every seven days. So at this time, his family and relatives give him blessings, so he can reduce this pain, or he is not suffering from this pain.
Without the blessing of his family, he would think it was inevitable. This is what the Buddha told us. Seven sevens, if you know Buddhism, then do all seven sevens. You can't say how many you choose, nor can you do anything else. Why? He has pain every seven days. We know this truth in the classics. Therefore, chanting Buddhist scriptures is in the best interests of the deceased.
The scripture makes it very clear that if we do seven, we will get six points, and the dead will only get one point. So when we do seven, we'd better invite seven wizards, and he can only get one point for their merits. To achieve seven buddha, we must have great interests. These people who really do things will get great benefits.
If he recites the scriptures and confesses according to the etiquette, he won't get any benefit if he doesn't mean it. Why do you confess while chanting? He is delusional and absent-minded and can't get any benefits. If the undead is a person with a big temper, a bad temper and insincere chanting, they will find trouble with him. Ghosts are like people, some powerful people. If you want to offend him, he will give you trouble and get back at you. Forget the gentle one, and don't look for it.
Therefore, everything has a cause and effect! What goes around comes around is not happy at all. Buddhism often says that "all laws are empty, and cause and effect are not empty". Why is cause and effect not empty? Cause and effect have "transformation is not empty". Cause will be transformed into result, and result will be transformed into cause. Just like we planted a fruit tree, this is the most obvious thing for everyone. You plant a peach tree, and the peach core is the seed, because!
Because of planting, it grows into a big tree, because it bears fruit; If the fruit bears a peach, there is a peach pit in the peach, which is "not empty"; "Cycle is not empty", causal cycle, that is, this is not empty; Continuity is not empty. So it has three phenomena: transformation, continuation and circulation, which are the cause and effect of all laws in the world.
