Wutong Mountain Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, Guangdong Province, with geographical coordinates: 113°17'～114°18' east longitude, 22°23'～22°43' north latitude, spanning Luohu and Yantian, The three districts of Longgang include East Lake Park, Fairy Lake Botanical Garden and Shatoujiao Forest Farm. The Wutong Mountain Scenic Area has a total area of ??31.82 square kilometers. It is a rare urban area in China.

Wutong Mountain is the birthplace of the Shenzhen River. Wutong Mountain is high in the mountains and densely forested. The springs on the main peak flow into Tianchi.
