Is Feng Shui a science?

Feng Shui is a science. See Feng Shui for yourself

Step 1: Stand at the front door of your home and look outside. Check to see if there are any large buildings or obstructions facing you that would cause what Feng Shui refers to as "hidden arrow evil". A neighbor's satellite dish, a telephone pole on the street, a church steeple, or a long road facing your front door - these can all create what's known as a hidden arrow. If there is anything that can become a "hidden arrow" facing the door of your home, then in order to resolve this harmful influence, you should hang a Bagua mirror on the front door with the mirror opening facing the outside.

Step 2: Use the above method to check the back door of your home and all major windows.

Step 3: Once again, stand at your front door and use your compass to determine the direction your home is facing. You can use a Boy Scout compass or a fancy ornate Chinese compass (compass), but you must make sure you line up the north point on the needle with the true north point on the compass. (If you don't have a compass handy, you might be able to use a street map to find the direction your home faces.) Write this down so you can compare it to your personal best direction later.

Step 4: Check the entrance to your home to make sure there is nothing blocking the flow of Qi coming in from the front door, and that outside Qi can quickly gather indoors. The front door should be open to the public, so all other obstructions should be removed immediately.

Step 5: Sketch a rough floor plan of your home. Place the Bagua chart over your home floor plan, using compass directions to align them correctly. Then, the career position represented by the blue part will fall to the north, and the reputation position represented by the red part will fall to the south.

Tip 6: The eight directions in the Bagua represent the "eight desires of life" - family, money, reputation, marriage, children, noble people, work and knowledge. Please identify which of the eight areas you want to improve or strengthen. For example, if you want to increase your money and the corresponding direction is southeast, you check your Bagua and find out the five-character "wood" corresponding to the southeast. To stimulate this direction, you will want to place items related to the wooden rows (such as potted plants) in this direction. (You can also use the water element to enhance the energy of this direction, because water "generates" wood.) By comparing it with the Bagua chart, you will find the meaning of each direction. But we have to give a warning in advance, that is, don’t try to enhance too many directions at once, otherwise you may find that many opportunities will come one after another that you will be unable to cope with.

Top 7 If you If your home is not square or rectangular, check the floor plan of your home to see if there are any corners missing. The missing corner means that a certain direction in the Bagua cannot correspond to the room. For example, if your house is L-shaped, the above situation will happen. If an area that you feel is missing is important to you, then you should use a mirror to recreate that area.

Step 8: Check your kitchen. When standing in the food preparation area, make sure your back is not to the door. If so, please remodel your kitchen so that you can see the "door" while preparing food. Make sure the water element in your kitchen does not conflict with the fire element. In other words, make sure your gas stove is not directly next to or facing your sink or refrigerator. If available, move kitchen utensils that represent one of the water (sink, refrigerator) or fire (gas stove) elements to a new location. Finally, check whether the "stove mouth", that is, the direction of the gas stove, faces your personal best position (refer to tip 13).

Tip 9 Please check the lounge and/or restaurant. And try having any of the large mirrors in these rooms reflect the food on the table for a "double your wealth" effect.

Top 10: Check your bedroom. Make sure there is nothing hanging above your bed or that would create a sense of oppression, such as built-in wardrobes or heavy paintings on the wall. When you sit on your bed, make sure you don't see yourself in any mirror. If so, you can remove the mirror, cover it, or place it away from the bed.

Step 11: Check the location of your bathroom and toilet. This is an important step because these two rooms are where the water in your home exits.

Confirm whether these two places fall in the directions that you think are important among the Bagua directions. For example, if the toilet is in the southwest, this will have an impact on your interpersonal relationships. The reason for this is that these rooms carry water out of the house, which takes good chi and energy away. For example, if your toilet or bathroom is located in the western half, this will wash away the luck of your children. If your child has had a rough year, this may be a key reason. But if you don't have children, this may not matter. If these "moisture rooms" are located in locations that are important to you, try keeping the toilet or bathroom door closed and the toilet seat down, or covering the doors of these rooms with a mirror the same length as the door. , using this method can cleverly "make this room disappear."

Tip 12 If you have a garden, check it out and use the Bagua and the compass on the garden plan. Make sure that any paths in the garden do not lead directly to your front door, as this will be like an arrow shooting straight towards your door. As you become more familiar with the application of Feng Shui, you may consider building a pool or water dragon. Of course, building it in the right location is the first prerequisite.

You already know the orientation of your home and garden, now you need to carefully find out your personal orientation, which is beneficial to you personally and will also affect the correct placement of your indoor furniture. .
