Labuleng Temple, located in the west of Xiahe County, is one of the six ancestors of Gelug Sect (Yellow Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism in China. It is the most famous Tibetan College in the world and has the most complete teaching system of Tibetan Buddhism in China.
Labuleng Temple is located on the banks of Daxia River, covering an area of 1.234 mu, which is larger than the whole Xiahe County. The outer wall consists of 3-5 km prayer wheels, with more than 2,000 prayer wheels. It is the longest corridor of prayer wheel in the world, and it takes at least one hour to pass through each prayer wheel. The temple area is open all day. The opening hours of Siwentang District and Gongtang Pagoda are from 8: 00 am to 6: 00 pm, and the opening hours of other Buddhist temples are from 8: 00 am to 4: 00 pm.
