Mei Fei wine is a fine wine handed down from generation to generation by Ren Fei, a primitive ethnic group in Guizhou. 1400 years ago, Ren Fei had the technology of self-brewing and self-production. Ren Fei has long formed the custom that "no wine is a gift, no matter what dishes, wine is a gift". Since ancient times, there have been folk proverbs of "treat guests in a basin-big face and big face" and "three cups to lead the way". The Wanli period of Ming Dynasty was the most prosperous period of Guizhou dummies. From generation to generation, every family can make wine and collect songs. Every Dragon Boat Festival, men, women and children are invited to go up the mountain to collect wine and medicine. The collected medicinal liquor is mainly composed of dozens of Chinese herbal medicines, such as climbing ground incense, climbing rock incense, duck feet, cowpea wood, thyme, cloud magpie flower, monkey whip and so on. In July, the old people washed and dried the collected medicinal materials and made them into distiller's yeast (pretending to be local medicinal liquor). When the peach blossoms bloom in March next year, they will pretend to be good rice, glutinous rice, sorghum and other grains sent by farmers. After cooling, add a proper amount of local wine and medicine, mix well and put it in a small cellar for fermentation. In a month or so, the bad substances are precipitated, and the bad water turns brown, so it can be distilled into wine. Distilled liquor is full-bodied, transparent in color, pure in flavor, unique in style, and has a long aftertaste. It has many magical effects such as invigorating qi, promoting blood circulation, resisting fatigue, preserving health and prolonging life. It has developed into three grades: high, medium and low. Local residents call it Maonan Liquor, Maonan Yulu, Fake Coke and Herbal Soup. Wild thorn, orange, chicken hook and fake wine are used to brew thorn, orange and chicken hook wine, and stored in the cellar for a certain period of time, which becomes a must-have for welcoming guests and a valuable gift for relatives and friends.
