The four leading bodies of Langfang City are United with one heart and one mind, and all previous leading bodies have made relay efforts, forming a clean and upright political ecology and a good atmosphere of unity and dedication. Implementing a Strong Industrial City and Building a Powerful Langfang
1. Strengthening strength is the most important, urgent and significant task. Langfang takes "building a city through industry" as the first general program, Shanghai project as the main development starting point, strengthens the concept that attracting investment is "the first achievement" and "the first ability", improves the assessment mechanism, starts the "year of tackling key problems in large projects", sets up special funds for project construction, organizes 177 large projects to start construction, conducts city-wide project observation, and organizes more than 30 small groups to attract investment. Compared with Qi Fei, Langfang, Yanjiao, Bazhou and Anping are four provincial development zones. In 2005 alone, there were 1269 projects with an investment of more than RMB 0/0 million.
2. The rapid development of high-tech industries has enhanced the core competitiveness of Langfang. More than 20 scientific research institutes such as Tsinghua Science Park and Hebei Science and Technology Development Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences, more than 30 universities in Oriental University Town, and 20 universities in Langfang have built an integrated pattern of Industry-University-Research, and the total income of high-tech industry and trade in the city has reached/kloc-0.5 billion yuan.
3. MICE tourism is an important breakthrough to give full play to regional advantages and develop emerging industries. Langfang hosts 1500 conferences and exhibitions every year, receiving 3.3 million tourists. The Northeast Asia and Bohai International Business Festival, the China Agricultural Products Fair and the International Agricultural Expo, the international financial forum, and the meeting of the finance ministers of the 20 central bank governors have made Langfang's brand of "MICE Tourism City" go global.
4. Focusing on improving the county economic strength, Langfang plans to build three economic sectors and two growth poles in the north and south with Sanhe and Bazhou as the center; Around the utilization of productive forces in Beijing and Tianjin, the industrial belt around Beijing and Tianjin has been planned and built. In 33 towns bordering Beijing and Tianjin, 22 industrial parks have been established, and a number of characteristic industries such as Sanhe Software, Wen 'an Plywood, Xianghe Furniture and Bazhou Steel and Wood Furniture have been cultivated, gradually forming a county-level economic development pattern with complementary industries. Leading industries such as Nippon Paint, Fujitec Elevator, Hanwang Technology, Qianjin Iron and Steel, Gaoshi Paper, Wufeng Fucheng, Huari Furniture and Rong Sheng Real Estate have emerged in the city.
