Zhaoping County is one of the first counties in the country to meet rural electrification standards. Many rivers in the territory belong to the Guijiang River system. The Guijiang River flows through 7 towns and villages in the county from north to south, and has 14 larger tributaries such as Siqin River, Guihua River, Jiulong River, Fuqun River and Linjiang River. It has been identified that the county's theoretical hydropower resource reserves are 385,000 kilowatts, the technically exploitable capacity is 252,000 kilowatts, and 44 power stations are planned and constructed within the territory.
