The origin of Yingpan Mountain

Yingpan Mountain has a flat hillside, abundant springs and firewood. 1856 Yi uprising in Ailaoshan. After many field visits, the guard Li finally determined Sishan as the first line of defense (now the resident of niujie Township Government in Midu County) and sent rebels to camp here, so it was also called "Yingpanshan".

Yingpan Mountain, which is near the base camp, faces Houshan across the river. As long as there is trouble, different signals will be sent from the high bamboo poles of the two peaks, and the other side will know the changes of the enemy situation and the countermeasures.

Li Dashuai not only depends on its geographical position, but also takes a fancy to man and peace. Both the front and back of the nearby mountains are the confidants of the Yi people. There is a deep affection between the rebels and the people, so they built fortifications-trenches on this geomantic treasure-house that is easy to defend but difficult to attack. Trenches crisscross, some straight, some winding to the top of the mountain. After 150 years, the trench is full of trees, but the direction is clear.

Since Li Dashuai set up camp in Yingpan, the Yi people have been using unlit "dry incense" to burn incense for fire safety and respect for this land and this mountain. Burning incense temple mountain is not used to burning incense, and people are not used to calling it burning incense temple mountain, so it is naturally called Yingpan Mountain.
