Guanyin Mountain in Dongguan is located in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, with a total area of 18 square kilometers and a forest coverage rate of over 99%. It is a national AAAA scenic spot integrating eco-sightseeing, entertainment and fitness, and religious and cultural tourism, and is known as "the holy land of Nantian and the secret land of Baiyue". On June 5438+ 10, 2006, the United Nations International Ecological Security Organization established Guangdong Guanyinshan National Forest Park as the second "international eco-tourism demonstration base" in China.
The highest point of Guanyinshan Forest Park is Yaofo Mountain, with an altitude of 566 meters and Guanyinshan Mountain with an altitude of 488 meters. It belongs to hilly and mountainous areas with ancient geology. Its lithologic composition mainly includes Sinian metamorphic rocks, Yanshanian granites and granodiorites. The bedrock is mostly sand shale, and the top of the mountain is mostly exposed rock. This remarkable geological feature can be seen in the famous peaks in the park, such as Guanyin belly, Bijiashan, Baigongping, Dafeng and Xiaofeng.
