Tiandengpo is located in Changshun County, surrounded by mountains, with east longitude106 26'15 "and north latitude 26 2' 30". There are towering old trees and rugged rocks on the mountain, with lush trees in late spring and midsummer. full of green is full of vitality, and old trees are everywhere in late autumn and winter, which is a symbol of Changshun Mountain.
Tiandengpo was originally named Yonggushan. There is a legend about this famous house: among the people in Changzhai, it is said that Tiandengpo and Shuijingpo (a hill with a pavilion on the top of the Martyrs Cemetery on the left) are lovers in love. They often become human beings, having trysts before flowers and under the moon. So it attracted the jealousy of feudal guardians and framed them as immoral. During the Qianlong period, a magistrate and local gentry decided to build a wall to change the geomantic Long Mai of the town on the grounds that they were harmful to geomantic omen. On the eve of the liberation of Guizhou, a beacon tower was built on the top of the mountain. In this way, when the city is attacked, it will be lit up on the beacon tower as a signal to consolidate the city forever. Therefore, the beacon tower is called a permanent fixed tower. The mountain in this city is also officially named Gu Yongshan.
There is also a legend that Yonggushan was renamed Tiandengpo. During the Jiaqing period, a Henan official came to Changzhai. Shortly after he took office, in order to flaunt his integrity as an official, he spread rumors among his subordinates, saying that his parents had made a wish to heaven before he was born. If he was born a boy, he would become an official in the future and must do good things for the masses. To this end, he personally boarded Gu Yongshan. After a simple exploration, he spread the myth of Long Mai tide and popular water transport in Guyongshan, and erected a light pole on the beacon tower. Every evening, just hang a bright lantern on the lamppost, named:
"Sky lanterns" means "sky lanterns are hung high, making the country prosperous and the people safe". Since then, Yonggushan has been renamed Tiandengpo.
1920, a new county magistrate named Li Jingsheng came to Changzhai. He was from Bai Liu, Guangxi. He brought a younger brother, Li Dansheng, as his advisor. Li Dansheng is a superstitious fanatic who claims to be proficient in Feng Shui and Yin and Yang. Bored, he often waded through mountains and rivers to see the direction of the earth's context, and made up many puzzling myths. Because of the high terrain and low walls, there are only two wells in Changzhai City for the whole city to drink. There is a serious shortage of water in winter, and the people live in poverty and living conditions are extremely poor. They burned thatched firewood and lit oil lamps and torches. A slight carelessness can easily cause a fire. When Li Dansheng saw this, he pretended to be a fairy and deceived the people, saying that the reason why Changzhai burned houses every year was because Yangcheng was like a torch and was located in the south. According to five lines of gossip, when the south fires, the city cannot open the south gate. He instructed Changshun to open four doors and three doors. In order to avoid fire disaster, water is the only way. Therefore, it is necessary to build the Dragon King Temple on the slope of Tiandeng to welcome the dragon kings of the four seas to worship, so that the waters of the four seas can subdue the fire. * * * Brother Li Jingsheng is also a stupid person. He listened to Li Dansheng's words and was about to confiscate several tile houses of Gao Jingxian, a habitual bandit, and build them on the top of the sky lantern slope. A Dragon King Temple appeared on Tiandengpo.
1938, Liu Zhongya, the new county magistrate of Changzhai, died in the sharp conflict of local forces. In recognition of Liu Zhongya's integrity of "dying in the line of duty and serving the country faithfully", the successor county magistrate dedicated Liu's bloody clothes to the Longwang Temple in Tiandengpo, and changed the Longwang Temple into a martyrs' shrine. In "0" year, the Martyrs Temple was demolished because of the "Four Old Houses".
With the passage of time, the face of Tiandengpo has changed a lot. To and from Tiandeng Slope, people no longer need to climb the thorny road, and spacious and flat cement steps connect the county seat with Tiandeng Slope. The foolish historical relic of the top of the sky lantern has disappeared, and the landmark bell tower of Changshun has taken its place.
At present, the Tianguangpo Mountain is shaded by trees and looks like a kingfisher from a distance. Walking up the stone steps, you can have a bird's eye view of the whole city and have a panoramic view of the pastoral scenery, which makes people relaxed and happy. In August 1984, 1, Changshun county people's government announced it as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit with the name of Chang Zheng Zi (1984) No.42.
