Appreciation of Ajantao Grottoes Murals
Delicate description, beautiful modeling. There is a big hall in the middle, and there are 500 arhats on the murals around, with different shapes and rich expressions. 1 Cave has a wide range of mural scenes. The most famous one is the Buddha statue with violet flowers, which looks solemn, wears a crown and has well-proportioned muscles. The Persian envoys on the wall in front of the cave came to Korea, reflecting the good scenes of India and Persia. The map of initiation, the map of vegetarian meal of corpse and the map of demon reduction in caves are also wonderful. The second cave has the latest age, and there are murals and algae wells on its front porch wall. The murals in the small niches around the cave are particularly eye-catching. The right niche takes the mountain as the background and shapes the image of women and children. In the left niche, there is a lady surrounded by handmaiden, and the figure is quite realistic. In addition, the Buddhist stories such as "Dream on the Wall" by Lu Wang Bensheng and Mrs. Moyev have tortuous plots and wider contents. /kloc-the mural on the left wall of Cave 0/6 is a sad picture of Gautama's wife when she became a monk. After Gautama became a monk, his wife yaodharā leaned back in her chair and bowed her head slightly, heartbroken and painful. Outside the cave 16, there is a path cut in the rock and a door along the stone steps. There is an elephant carved in black stone on both sides of the door, and then there is the Bank of Bagola. It is said that Master Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty sailed here in 638 AD to visit Ajantao Grottoes. The Buddha paintings in Cave 17 lead to the story of the Heavenly Palace, vividly depicting the scene of many good men and women riding horses and coming from all over the world to listen attentively. The characters in the painting have different expressions, and different mounts are also lifelike. Ajanta Grottoes are a combination of ancient Indian architecture, sculpture and painting. Although it was adapted from the life story of the Buddha, it truly reflected the ancient court life and social outlook of India at that time. Excellent mural and sculpture art not only played a great role in Indian art, but also had a far-reaching impact on countries and regions where Oriental Buddhism spread.
