Peace lotus
At the beginning of the design of Fujian-Taiwan Edge Museum, the viewing rooftop with a diameter of 56 meters at the top of the museum was regarded as the soul of the main building. In order to make the whole building more dazzling, the huge circular viewing roof of the museum adopts stainless steel grid structure, which is more light and elegant visually, and the "Peace Lotus" in the viewing roof becomes the crowning touch, with a height of 6.2 meters and a width of 4 meters. The design of the inclined ladder on the roof leading to the viewing rooftop makes full use of the Confucian idea of "returning everything to its original place" and the architectural features of southern Fujian, and the placement of "Peace Lotus" strengthens this concept and expresses the aspirations of compatriots on both sides of the strait for peace and calling for reunification.
