Sanhe Tower is located in the main peak of Tashan Mountain in the southeast of Yantai City. Formerly known as Black Turtle Tower, it is a symbol of Tashan, named after the mountain. According to folklore, the remains of followers of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism are buried under Sanhe Tower, which is in harmony with Taiping Temple, making up for the lack of Feng Shui in Tashan and bringing peace to the people for generations. The construction date of Sanhe Tower is unknown, and there is an inscription on the top of the tower: "Rebuild the pagoda and make up the icon", which means "30 years to Dayuan (1293)".
1999, Yantai rebuilt Sanhe tower, with a height of 3 1 m and an octagonal seven floors. Its shape inherits the style of the ancient pagoda, and there are heavenly palace and underground palace inside. The Temple of Heaven is used to collect the list of donors who have contributed to the tower building; The underground palace is used to seal up the famous, excellent and special products that can represent the development level of productive forces at this stage in Yantai. There is an escalator in the tower, so you can climb directly onto the sightseeing platform and overlook the fence, which is picturesque.
