The "Bai Juyi Tomb" in Xiangshan, Luoyang is located on the Pipa Peak in Dongshan, covering an area of 3 hectares. The words "Tang Shaofu White Cemetery" are engraved on the tablet.
Opposite the Longmen Grottoes Xishan Grottoes, Dongshan Grottoes is the scenic spot. Because of the hot weather and poor physical strength, I only took a look at Xiangshan Temple and Baiyuan (that is, Bai Juyi's tomb).
Xiangshan Temple was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 5 16), where Balado, an Indian monk, was buried and rebuilt after Wu Zetian proclaimed himself emperor. Later, in the sixth year of Tang Dahe (AD 832), Baiyin Juyi of Henan donated money to rebuild it, and was buried in Xiangshan after his death. 1936, Jiang built a two-story building here to celebrate his 50th birthday, leaving a "villa".
Coming out of Xiangshan Temple and bypassing Dongshan Hotel, you will arrive at the "White Garden", where Bai Juyi's tomb is located. I remember when I went in the 1960s, I only saw mounds and several stone tablets on the barren hills. Now a courtyard wall has been built and a quiet park has been built, where people can pay tribute to their favorite poets. If they are interested, they can also recite poems beside the memorial pavilion.
Xiangshan Temple "Drum Tower", you can see the opposite Xishui Grottoes Scenic Area.
