There are more than 60 kinds of nectar and pollen plants with bee keeping value in Guizhou Province. Bee breeding is an important part of agricultural production in Guizhou Province, which plays an important role in maintaining the diversity of agricultural production and increasing farmers' income. However, due to geographical and climatic reasons, there are many beekeepers in China, with 165000 in Guizhou at the end of 1980s.
