There seems to be an endless stream of movies with the theme of spiritual fantasy. The film was made by the ghosts of two apprentices of Master Ching-Ying Lam, and then funny, suspenseful and weird materials were collected. Compared with the previous sitcoms such as Mr. Zombie and Uncle Zombie, this film caused a sensation as soon as it was released because it used large-scale special effects that were rare at that time for the first time and had epoch-making significance in the early 1990s.
Wencai (Huang Bin) and Huang Qiusheng (Jin Shaohao) are disciples of Feng-Chiao Lin (Ching-Ying Lam), the "Nine Uncle" of Maoshan School. Wen Cai was possessed by ghosts, because he didn't know that the Mid-Autumn Festival on July 15th was a ghost singing opera and people were forbidden to watch it. Uncle Jiu sent Anthony Wong to rescue him, only to be confused by the beautiful female ghost Xiao Li (Wu Jiali) and literary talent, and put down the ghost errand of sending ghosts to the theatre with a charm. As a result, all the ghosts were inadvertently released.
In order to recapture the ghosts, Uncle Jiu invited our Taoist friends as the head to discuss the big plans, so he decided to subdue the ghosts with the "innate eight diagrams". However, under the pressure of the eldest brother Shi Jian and his son (played by Liu Shun and Huang Ziyang) who are at odds with their ninth uncle, Cai Wen and Anthony Wong take risks to lure ghosts into the array. During the battle, many masters in Maoshan used magic to subdue the ghost, and Jiu Shu could not bear to let Shi Jian kill the ghost with "Lightning Boxing", so that it could never be reborn, and the contradiction between the two sides further deteriorated.
Later, Master Qian, a wealthy businessman in the city, turned to Jiu Shu and Shi Jian for help because of the geomantic problem. Shi Jian and his son stole the business because Cai Wen and Huang Qiusheng made random bids to the boss. At the same time, JiuShu mentoring found that Shi Jian's son wanted to rape Master Qian's daughter Mary with Taoism, and JiuShu secretly reminded his senior brother, but Shi Jian turned a deaf ear.
In the middle of the night, Shi Jian's son tried to enter Qianzhai with the soul of Shen Yuan. In order to save Mary, Cai Wen and Anthony wong, with the help of female ghost Xiao Li, scared away the soul of Shi Jian's son and dragged his body away, but they were accidentally taken away and bitten by wild dogs, which made Shi Jian's son Shen Yuan unable to regain his sanity. Uncle Jiu recalled his soul and took two disciples to apologize to the master elder brother, but in order to restore his son's true identity, Shi Jian lied that he would go to Coffin Mountain to absorb the "coffin bacteria" from the mouth of the zombie king, so the three of them had to go to Coffin Mountain. At the same time, Shi Jian tried to kill everyone with zombies, and finally Uncle Jiu defeated the zombies with Taoism.
Shi Jian resurrected his son with witchcraft and turned him into a corpse demon. In order to keep healthy, he must constantly absorb jingxie when the moon is cloudy and the sun is cloudy, which leads to the occurrence of bloody cases. Uncle Jiu was suspected as a murderer by the police for no reason. After learning the truth, Master and Apprentice used "Bai Bao Soup" to force the corpse demon to show his true colors and chase him to Shijian's home. Facing his ninth uncle and three apprentices, Shi Jian reluctantly killed his son to protect his image. After the three men left, they cast a spell to manipulate their son's body to revive again, and tried to hurt Wencai and Anthony Wong. At this time, Shi Jian's son was fierce, and he wanted to kill his uncle and his disciples. At the same time, Shi Jian cast a spell to summon the quartet to invade Jiushu's residence collectively. With the help of Xiao Li, a female ghost, the master and the apprentice finally defeated the ghost and corpse demon of the son of Shijian, and reflected the "lightning boxing" of Shijian with the eight diagrams mirror, making him commit suicide.
