Hunnan District is a municipal district in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. Founded in 1964, it is named because most of its jurisdiction is located on the south bank of Hunhe River. It is located in the southeast of Shenyang, between east longitude 123 18' 4 1 "and north latitude 123 48' 19" and north latitude 4 1 36' 10 ".
Hunnan district has a large temperature difference and four distinct seasons. Spring is affected by monsoon, with little wind and heavy rain and dry air. Summer is hot, and the rain and heat are synchronized. There is plenty of sunshine in autumn. Winter is cold and long. The annual average temperature in the jurisdiction is 8.4℃, the average temperature in Leng Yue is-1 1.0℃, the average temperature in the hottest month is 24.7℃, the extreme minimum temperature is -32.9℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 38.3℃.
Hunnan district is located in the transitional zone between Liaodong hills and Lower Liaohe Plain. Generally speaking, the terrain in the territory is composed of Hunhe impact plain and Changbai Mountain low hills, and the terrain gradually rises from west to east. The elevation of the whole region is mostly below 200 meters, with the highest elevation of 323 meters and the lowest elevation of 35 meters.
