2. Rhododendron (scientific name: Rhododendron. ), also known as Euphorbia, Shan Shiliu and Rhododendron, is a deciduous shrub of Ericaceae. There are about 900 kinds of azaleas in the world. China is the country with the widest distribution of rhododendrons, with about 530 species. Rhododendron is one of the top ten traditional famous flowers in China, with many kinds and beautiful flowers and leaves. Legend has it that azaleas were dyed by a bird that vomited blood. Southwest Chongqing, Youyang and Xiushan are rich in rhododendrons, most of which are called rhododendrons.
