Southern Fujian and Taiwan have the same roots. There is such a museum that carries our common memories.

Quanzhou Fujian-Taiwan Relations Museum, which shares the same origin with southern Fujian culture, is a national-level thematic museum that reflects the historical relationship between mainland China and the treasure island of Taiwan. It is well worth visiting.

The entire building adopts the design concept of "round sky and square earth". What I like most is the beautiful reflection of the Nine Dragon Pillars in the landscape square in the reflecting pool. The Nine Dragon Pillar symbolizes that compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are descendants of the dragon. The water in the reflecting pool flows continuously from the inside out, symbolizing the long-standing relationship between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.

The lobby of the museum is majestic. The highlight is a mural composed of a large banyan tree and its roots, which symbolizes that compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait share the same culture, species, and roots.

The entire museum has four floors. The core exhibition area is the basic exhibition "Fujian and Taiwan" on the second floor and the special exhibition "Native Fujian and Taiwan" on the third floor.

There are not many tourists in the museum, and the whole exhibition experience is very good. After reading it, you will have a more comprehensive understanding of southern Fujian culture. Don’t miss it when you come to Quanzhou!

The boutique exhibition is located in the west temporary exhibition hall on the first floor. It focuses on the fine crafts created by Huo Jian and Taiwan’s Ding Yi art circle over the years, and displays the folk crafts of Fujian and Taiwan.
