Notes on "Sixteen-character Geomantic Yin and Yang Techniques" —— "Instructions for the Children of Geography" (I)

If you want to learn Feng Shui well, you must read this book. If you haven't read this book, if you go to Kong Xuan every day and come to the Eighth Hospital, you are bluffing. This book can be said to be "what you should know and what you should know" in Feng Shui. Experience of reading this book in series from today.

The authors of this book are brothers Xu Wei Zhi and Xu Weishi in Ming Dynasty. They are twin brothers. They used to study the four books and five classics at home from childhood and prepare for the imperial examination. As a result, they encountered family changes and began to study Feng Shui. They traveled all over the country and visited everywhere, leaving footprints in urban and rural areas. It took them 30 years to finish their studies and write this book.

In addition to the preface, the book says "ten taboos" at the beginning, that is, Feng Shui should follow ten laws. Details are as follows:

First of all, you must know geography.

Shanggu Comments: The ancients liked to quote the words of sages such as Confucius, Zhu and Lu Jiuyuan to prove the correctness of their works. Here, the author also uses the words of these celebrities to prove the importance of studying geomancy, and at the same time, it also shows that professionals should be found to engage in geomancy and find cemeteries.

Second, don't stop burying.

Shanggu Comments: Here are two points: First, ancestors must be buried after death; Second, the burial should not be delayed for several months, not more than seven months for the royal family and not more than three months for the common people. Therefore, we all know why Qin Shihuang wanted to build a mausoleum since he became the king of Qin, and emperors of all dynasties also regarded it as a major event.

Third, don't encroach on ancestral graves.

Comments on Shanggu: The author here means that if you find a good hole, only one place is good, not from left to right. So don't bury the family together. In the Central Plains, many people bury their families together, which is nothing. The author said that the water depth and soil thickness of the Central Plains are of course no problem. If you change to Fujian and other places, the water is shallow and the soil is thin, but it will be fine if you are buried together. In other words, only one person is buried in a good cave, and the others, even if they are a family, should be buried separately and not crowded together.

Fourth, it is impossible to bury the old cave.

Shanggu Comments: A geomantic treasure can only bless the descendants of those who were buried first, but if others buy this cemetery or remove the bones of those who were buried before, and then bury their ancestors here, they will not get rich and will cause trouble. This is to tell people not to think about opportunism, but to find someone else's "land of feng shui" for their own use.

Don't stick to an open position.

Shanggu Comments: This means that if there are more brothers and everyone wants to get a good "blessing" of the Feng Shui level, there will inevitably be competition, so the Feng Shui level of the ancestors will have to be buried in an absolutely fair position. If an absolutely fair position is not found, it will cause the ancestors not to be buried for a long time. Therefore, when burying the ancestors for their children, the rest of the ancestors should be the most important, while the expectation that the living will be sheltered and seek wealth is secondary, and the absolute average of "blessings" cannot be overemphasized.

Sixth, it is not easy to be reburied.

Comments on Shanggu: The author means not to move easily after burial, unless you encounter five ominous things: a grave falls into it for no reason; The vegetation on the second mound died; There are rumors of fornication in Sancha, and few people are few; Four men and women do not obey, rob, and punish the fire; Population extinction, property dissipation, and endless official lawsuits. If you see three auspicious signs, you can't move: when you see live rats, snakes and living things; Second, look at the coffin knotted by wisteria; Third, see white water droplets or aerosols, dry and termite-free. There are five things that don't move: a keeper in one family doesn't move; Two-year-olds can't move; Don't move if there are three evils and five evils; Four don't make five patients motionless; Well-off people do not move. The five evils refer to: graves will not become roads, houses will not be demolished, ditches and kiln stoves will not be robbed by powerful people, and they will not become cultivated land.

Seven, don't specialize in big intentions.

Shanggu Comments: If it is a real cave, you don't have to care about the size. Greedy people often can't get it on small land. In other words, it doesn't matter whether you are lucky or not.

Eight, can't ignore Guge.

Shanggu Comments: There are two kinds of masters in Kanyu. A good eye is naturally powerful. One kind has a watchful eye, has seen countless ancient tombs, and knows what is auspicious. Therefore, it is better to read the case of Geely than thousands of books.

Nine, be sure not to choose a good teacher.

Shanggu Comments: This means that when you are buried, you should find a reliable Feng Shui master, but to be a real Feng Shui master, you must be knowledgeable, knowledgeable and virtuous.

Ten, you must cultivate virtue.

Shanggu comments: this is to persuade the good. Future generations should have kindness and filial piety to look at the burial of their ancestors. Don't be greedy for money, be self-defeating
