The Sailimu Lake Monster is white in color, and its overall shape is like the bottom of a sailboat upside down on the water. Its overall length is about four meters, and it is four kilometers away from the shore of the lake. The lake monster is about two to three meters above the water. Experts speculate that the big red fish, whose scientific name is Huchotaimen, is a ferocious cold-water rare fish species that lives in fresh water. It feeds on fish and can weigh up to 70 kilograms in adulthood. It is very large because its body is in a certain position. It is named after it appears red under certain conditions. In China, it is only found in the Irtysh River system and the Heilongjiang waters.
Introduction According to the records of the observers of Kanas Lake: We estimate that the big red fish in Kanas Lake are generally 3 to 5 years long
Salim Lake Monster
< p> meters, the largest can reach more than 10 meters. There may be hundreds of this big red fish in the entire Kanas Lake. But what exactly the "lake monster" is is still a mystery. The editor of this paragraph found that at about 9:45 in the morning on June 17, 2007, when Xinjiang was holding the first Tour of Limu Lake bicycle race
the legendary lake monster suddenly appeared
p>On the eve of the start of the third stage of the race, on the lake in front of Sailimu Lake Resort in Bole City, about 100 meters offshore, suddenly a huge thing was swimming in the water, about 10 meters long. This scene was watched by many people.
The reporter was also present at the time. When he saw this scene, he immediately took out his camera and took a photo. Unfortunately, the lens of the camera was 24-105 mm, which felt not clear enough, so he immediately decided to change the lens. However, before he had time to put it on, the unknown aquatic creature swimming disappeared under the water. Judging from the picture, the waves caused by this unknown aquatic creature are white, the water ripples are long, and it swims about 50 meters away.
Edit this paragraph The legend is recorded in "The Waterways of the Western Regions": The book writes that there is a big-horned and bearded creature in the lake
The legend suddenly appeared The lake monster in
The green sheep can make waves. Lin Zexu also mentioned it in "He Ge Ji Cheng". He wrote that Sailimu Lake is surrounded by mountains, and the mountains and rivers merge into huge lakes, commonly known as "Haizi". There is a record before the examination, the so-called Sailimunoer is also. It is about ten miles wide from east to west and twice as wide from north to south. The waves are surging like Hongze Lake. There are no boats and no fishing facilities. The natives say that there is a sacred object like a green sheep in it, and when you see it, it will rain and hail. Do not drink the water. Drinking it will make your hands and feet weak, because the water is cold in nature.
The poet Xiao Xiong of the Qing Dynasty wrote in "Sailam Lake" that the depth of Sailam Lake is unfathomable and there are no fish or shrimps. However, at night, the sound of Boji's roar is heard, which means that if it is not a god, it must be a monster. also. Chun Yuan of the Qing Dynasty also wrote in "Records of Hearings and Seeings of the Western Regions": There is a river four hundred miles northeast of Huiyuan City (now Huiyuan Town, Huocheng County, Yili Prefecture), named Boluotala (now Bortala) for garrison Chahar brought a thousand soldiers with him to roam the land, and the general manager and deputy department were in charge of it. To the north is the mountain of Habuta Sea, where there are hot springs, which are used to treat cold and damp diseases. To the south there is a huge lake called Sailimunao'er (today's Sailimu Lake). Its god is a green sheep with big horns and many beards. It brings rain and hail when you see it.
Fang Shigan of the Qing Dynasty wrote in "Donggui Diary" that Haizi is hundreds of miles away, surrounded by mountains, and where all the water flows, the sky and the mountains complement each other, making it clear and lovely. There is an island in the middle, and there is a sea eye inside, which leads to the sea. There are seahorses, which are common to people. The "green sheep" and "seahorse" mentioned in ancient articles are all referring to "water monsters".
Among the local herdsmen, there has been a legend about the "water monster" making trouble, and some herdsmen can also tell some interesting stories about the "water monster". As for the unknown aquatic creature discovered on June 17, no one can confirm whether it is a water monster. But someone said at the time that although it looked like a big fish, no fish about 10 meters long had yet been found in Sailimu Lake. What exactly was it? It remains to be further studied by scientists.
Edit this paragraph to prepare for the investigation. In order to understand the truth about the "water monster sighting incident" in Sailimu Lake, the "Traveling China" column team went to the Sailimu Lake area to conduct on-site investigation. Going westward along the Tianshan Mountains, Sailimu Lake with an altitude of more than 2,000 meters appears in front of you. Sailimu Lake, meaning "lake on the ridge" in Mongolian, is located on the northern route of the Silk Road. It is the highest mountain cold water lake in Xinjiang with the highest altitude and largest area.
Professor Yuan Guoying of the Xinjiang Environmental Protection Science Research Institute has done a lot of research on domestic water monster phenomena. The film crew approached him and hoped that he would make an announcement on the authenticity of the photos of unknown aquatic creatures published by the "Northern Xinjiang Development News" Screening.
To our surprise, when it came to the Sailimu Lake Monster, Professor Yuan Guoying found his book "The Mystery of the Kanas Lake Monster", which actually contained records about the Sailimu Lake Monster. However, Professor Yuan Guoying has only seen relevant historical records about the Sailimu Lake monster, and has never seen the real thing.
Investigation Process In order to confirm the authenticity of the "water monster sighting incident", the original photo was found. After inquiries from many parties, the column team found the photographer Hu Weibin. Hu Weibin enlarged the original photo and analyzed it carefully. The unidentified object in the photo had three clear black backs protruding from the water. One of them also reflected sunlight, indicating that the surface of the object was relatively smooth. However, just from this photo, it is difficult to infer what the dark shadow hidden underwater is. Sailimu Lake was formed during the Himalayan orogeny 70 million years ago. It was formed by the melting snow of the Tianshan Mountains. It is an alpine cold water lake with unfathomable depth. It is said that before the 1970s, there were no fish in the lake and it was a restricted area for life. Since then, the Fifth Agricultural Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps conducted fish farming experiments and introduced more than a dozen varieties of cold-water fish. However, because the water temperature in Sailimu Lake was too low, the fish could not reproduce after the introduction. It was not until the 1990s that the whitefish was introduced to Sailimu Lake, and no fish survived.
The investigation became more confusing. At this time, Professor Yuan Guoying's screening of the photos came to fruition. He confirmed the authenticity of the photos. However, from the photos, the unknown aquatic creatures had dived into the bottom of the water, making it difficult to see. Give a specific shape. Using the cruise ship in the photo as a reference, it can be seen that the length of the image in the water should be more than 10 meters. However, Professor Yuan Guoying expressed doubts about this. Professor Yuan Guoying proposed a hypothesis. If the underwater image is a school of fish, it looks like the ripples on the water surface. It may be that three or four fish are connected to form such an image that is more than 10 meters long. In this case, the length of each fish should be about four or five meters.
Cold-water fish have been introduced to Sailimu Lake since the 1990s. If there are large fish four to five meters long swimming in groups in the lake, it can explain the huge image in the photo, the so-called water monster. It may just be an illusion caused by a group of large fish swimming in an array underwater. However, local fishermen said that there are only three types of fish in the lake: tall whitefish, concave whitefish and three-striped fish. Based on the sizes of the known fish in the lake, it is obviously impossible to form such huge images and water ripples as in the picture.
No results After the sighting of unknown aquatic creatures in Sailimu Lake in June 2007, the local fishery department invited experts to conduct a comprehensive inspection in the lake area. During the inspection, experts did not find any large aquatic organisms. However, what surprised the experts was that the survey data also showed important information that was different from previous inspections. During the inspection process in previous years, experts determined that Sailimu Lake is a barren lake with poor nutritional content and no organisms in the center of the lake. During this inspection, experts found that the water depth of Sailimu Lake exceeded 100 meters, and a small amount of aquatic organisms and microorganisms still survived in the center of the lake.
The survival of giant aquatic organisms requires sufficient food. The discovery of aquatic organisms and microorganisms in the center of the lake this time means that there is the possibility of unknown organisms surviving at the bottom of the lake, and also makes people know about Sailimu. There have been many speculations about the unknown aquatic creatures that appeared in the lake. At present, experts have not found evidence that there are unknown aquatic creatures in Sailimu Lake, and the Sailimu Lake monster remains an unsolved mystery.
