Seats in business negotiations

In business negotiations, the appropriate seating arrangements for both parties in the negotiation field are as follows: Generally speaking, the seating arrangements for formal negotiations can be divided into two basic situations. 1. Bilateral negotiations Bilateral negotiations refer to negotiations between personnel of both sides. In general negotiations, bilateral negotiations are the most common. There are two main forms to choose from in the seating arrangement of bilateral negotiations. 1. Horizontal table means that the negotiation table is placed horizontally in the negotiation room, with the guests sitting opposite the door and the host sitting behind the door. Except for the center of the two speakers, other people from all directions should sit on their own side from right to left and from high to low according to their specific status. The right side of the main negotiators of both sides can be the deputy in domestic negotiations, while the interpreter should be the deputy in foreign-related negotiations. 2. Vertical dining table arrangement means that the negotiation table is placed vertically in the negotiation room. The specific ranking is based on the direction when entering the door, sitting on the right side by the guest room and sitting on the left side by the host. Other aspects are similar to horizontal tables and rows of seats. 2. Multilateral negotiations Multilateral negotiations here refer to negotiations held by three or more parties. The seating arrangement of changeable negotiations can also be divided into two forms. 1. freestyle means that all parties can sit freely in the negotiation without arranging seats in advance. 2. The chairman's style refers to the position where the chairman faces the main entrance in the negotiation room, which is used by representatives of all parties when they speak. Other people from all walks of life will sit with their backs to the main entrance and face the position of chairman. After all the representatives have finished speaking, they should also leave their seats. The so-called success lies in the details, which is also applicable in business negotiations. When negotiating, proper seating arrangement not only shows your proper negotiation etiquette, but also reflects your corporate image. Therefore, in business negotiations, we must not ignore the small detail of seating arrangement.
