How to grow vegetables on a balcony with less sunshine?

Chaoyangtai is the most ideal balcony for growing vegetables, with abundant sunshine and good ventilation. Almost all vegetables grow best in sufficient sunshine, so ordinary vegetables can be planted on balconies facing south all year round.

The east-west balcony is a semi-sunny slope, which is suitable for planting vegetables that like light and shade, such as onion, lettuce, leek, loofah, parsley, garlic, spinach, radish and sweet potato leaves.

The balcony facing north has almost no sunshine in a day, and the choice of vegetables is the smallest. Shade-tolerant vegetables should be selected, such as lettuce, leek, garlic, coriander, onion, asparagus, Toona sinensis, water spinach, auricularia auricula and sweet potato leaves.

Recommended vegetables planted on the balcony:

You can plant anything on the top floor or balcony. Semi-closed or closed balcony, because of the limitation of orientation and temperature, the vegetables planted also have limitations. Many friends who grow vegetables, because of greed, want to grow all kinds of vegetables, and they do grow all kinds of vegetables, but because of limited conditions, they didn't eat anything at last. Combined with the previous experience in growing vegetables, the landlord recommended several vegetables that are more suitable for balcony planting.

Water spinach, amaranth, sweet potato leaves, leek, onion, garlic and auricularia auricula: the harvest period is long, and the stubble will continue to grow or branch, so there is no need to sow again, attracting insects, which birds don't like.

Radish vegetables, small green vegetables, lettuce and oil wheat vegetables: short-lived and fast-growing vegetables, except small green vegetables, other dishes are not attractive to birds.

Pepper: Pepper is the best fruit-bearing vegetable, and it is also prolific.

Other melons and fruits, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, loofahs, eggplants, etc. Can also be planted on the balcony, but these vegetables need a thicker soil layer, which is more suitable for planting on the top floor or open-air balcony.

If there is no balcony, or there is no sunshine on the balcony, the landlord will teach you to grow the following dishes, and you can still reap the sunshine.

1. Garlic

Garlic leaves can grow without sunlight. It's the season in kind of garlic. If you want the table to smell good in winter, plant some garlic.

Want to know whether garlic will sprout, just peel it off and have a look. As long as there is bud in garlic, it will sprout.

If you want garlic to sprout quickly, you can take off its coat.

Insert garlic upward into the soil, keep the soil moist, and sow in the middle and late August of the lunar calendar.

In order to save space, you can interplant coriander.
