Now it is the oldest and most complete ancient temple built in Xiamen to worship the Dragon King, and it is a place where villagers along the coast of Jimei pray for good weather and safe navigation.
This Dragon Palace is the location of the Dragon Palace Xiaoyue, one of the eight scenic spots in Jimei. The back hall is dedicated to the Dragon King of the East China Sea. Every year, the 16th day of the ninth lunar month is the day of the Dragon King Festival. The ceremony was solemn and lively, aiming at praying for a bumper harvest, good weather, peace and prosperity.
