(1) political review
Political examination includes political theory and current affairs politics. Different schools will choose different methods, but in general, there are nothing more than the following two.
1, written test: Some schools give political theory a written test in the second interview, usually in the form of an open book. The scope of review and the type of test questions will be specified in advance.
2. Interview: The examiner asks one or two current hot issues or the basic theory of socialist market economy. With a little preparation, as long as there is no problem with the core concept, it will pass smoothly.
(2) Oral English and Listening Test
Candidates express or answer related questions in foreign languages according to the requirements of the examiner, and the examiner scores their oral and listening accordingly. The examination time for each candidate is about 5 minutes.
There are two main English assessment methods adopted by MBA admissions institutions.
1, listening and speaking are separated. Listening still adopts the practice in the previous written test, and makes multiple-choice questions within the specified time. The level is basically equivalent to level 6. After listening, oral English will be interviewed in groups, mainly including self-introduction and answering some basic questions.
2. Combination of listening and speaking. Listening mainly includes: translating after listening to an English content, or answering related questions. Oral English is mainly: the examiner talks with the candidates in English. The questions are more life-oriented, and your oral expression will not involve the contents of professional fields.
It is not easy to improve listening for a while, but intensive training before the exam is essential. There is still a period of time before the second interview. I suggest that you read more English newspapers, download news from VOA and BBC, listen to/watch English movies every day, and do listening exercises, especially for students who are admitted to prestigious international MBA schools. You must make use of the limited time before the second interview and practice hard consciously.
(3) Application materials:
The material is our facade, so no matter what kind of interviewer we face, the material is very important. Reason and logic can make us calm down and deal with it calmly, but when the teacher asks questions? There will be a situation that does not match the material.
Except those hard conditions, such as education, job, salary, etc. Another important point is "attitude"-take every required content seriously, even the content of the questionnaire, and try not to leave it blank. You can get familiar with the campus in advance, understand the courses of the enrollment brochure, make long-term self-career planning according to your own situation, and show the most authentic and sincere yourself to the school through materials.
(4) Personal interview:
The duration of personal interview is generally around 15-20 minutes, mainly including: 3 minutes for self-introduction, 5 minutes for english interview, and 10 minutes for personal interview questions and answers. For personal interviews, you need to prepare the following:
1. Introduce yourself. There can be two ways of writing preparation and oral presentation preparation, no matter which form needs careful consideration and eloquence. You can express it in combination with your work, life or study experience. The key is to show the highlights of your work and life, give the examiner a good first impression through the display of highlights, and produce a positive first cause effect. In this part, you can indirectly or directly express why you want to study MBA and your desire for the future.
2. The examiner asks questions at will. This part of the question is mainly aimed at some information in the readme and application materials. The examiner selects 1-2 interesting or unclear places for additional questions. Here's a trick. Don't answer all the questions you ask. Remember to add something. Here? A chance to get to know you better. No matter what the problem is, as long as it can be raised, you should state the details and pull it out at the same time, which shows that you have a big picture. This part is more flexible, there is no standard answer, in addition to being prepared, we must also know how to improvise.
3. Oral English. The oral and listening skills of MBA retest are basically simple self-introduction, but you must be able to speak. The questions are more life-oriented, and your oral expression will not involve the contents of professional fields. Some prestigious business schools will have stricter requirements in this regard. From now until the second interview, I suggest reading more English newspapers, watching more English movies, doing listening exercises every day, listening more and reading more English. It is also suggested to arrange a complete and detailed English resume, which will be helpful to you and deepen your impression.
(5) Interview without leading group:
The whole group consists of 45 minutes-1 hour. Generally, there are 8 team members, 10 minutes of reading materials+group work, 40 minutes of personal opinion statement+group discussion+summary report, and the last 5 minutes of group comments by examiners and teachers. Candidates are required to discuss a given topic freely, without specifying a convener or examiner, and without direct participation. Topics are generally taken from the professional needs of the proposed leadership positions or hot issues in real life. .
The sense of participation of the group is very important. Actively choose the role you are sure to assume; Actively and effectively express their views; Pay attention to teamwork and create a harmonious and good discussion atmosphere.
