What are the rules of beach volleyball?

Beach volleyball originated in San Diego, California in the late 1920s. Monica Beach has the first beach volleyball court in the world. People often go to the beach in their spare time to have beach volleyball matches between families. So, what are the rules of beach volleyball? The following are the rules of beach volleyball that I compiled. Welcome to reading.

Sand platoon rule

Beach volleyball, as its name implies, is volleyball played on the beach. The playing field of beach volleyball is rectangular, with a length of16m and a width of 8m, surrounded by an activity area of 5-6m. Apart from the different venues, the biggest difference between beach volleyball and indoor volleyball lies in the number of participants. Each team of beach volleyball consists of two people, and they must always be on the court during the game. Indoor volleyball consists of 6 or 9 players, and there is a substitute system.

Before each service of beach volleyball, the record table will hold up a sign marked 1 or 2, indicating the number of the server. When the server hits the ball, both players must be present except the server, and they can stand at will without a fixed position. Each team can hit the ball up to three times, and blocking the tentacles counts as one stroke. Every game, each team can request a maximum of four timeouts, each lasting 30 seconds. Every player can ask the referee for a time-out.

Because there is no rotation system in sand volleyball, if a player is injured in a game, he can be given five minutes of recovery time, but the same player can be given up to two recovery times in a game. If a player fails to recover within 5 minutes or the same player recovers more than twice in a game, the team is declared incomplete. Therefore, beach volleyball requires high physical quality of athletes.

Unlike indoor volleyball, which uses two wins in five games, beach volleyball uses two wins in three games. The first two games adopted the competition system of 2 1, and the third game adopted the competition system of 15.

service

The service position, any point between the extension line and the bottom line on both sides of the court, can be divided into low handball, high ball and jump service.

catch a ball

The general way to catch the ball is to put your hands together. Keep your thumbs straight and close to the floor, put one hand with four fingers folded and put them in the jaws of the other hand, and make a fist with the other hand with four fingers folded, and catch the ball with the flat part of the thumb joint. When catching the ball, lean forward, keep your feet apart, keep your eyes on the ball, adjust your pace according to the trajectory of the ball, straighten your arms obliquely, and hit the ball to the predetermined position.

control the ball

Holding the ball is to lift the ball and pass it to your partner accurately. When holding the ball, your hands are raised, your elbows are slightly higher than your shoulders, your thumbs are open, your wrists are straight at the moment you touch the ball, and the ball is ejected with the strength of your wrists and elbows. It should be noted that when holding the ball, the first two knuckles of fingers contact the ball, not just the fingertips, otherwise it is easy to cause sprain.

spike

Spike is the most important scoring method, which requires speed, accuracy and stability. Pay attention to the timing when spiking. When the body jumps to the highest point, touch the ball with the lower part of the palm, then protect the ball with the whole palm and smash it with all your strength.

This is a visual feast of passion, sunshine, strength, vitality and youth.

Arrangement of beach volleyball competition rules

(1) A team consists of two players. Each team must have two players on the field and no substitutions are allowed. When the server hits the ball, except the server, both players must be in the court and can stand at will. There is no fixed position, no position error and rotation error, but there is a service order error. When each team serves for the first time in a game, the recorder will reveal the order of serving. During the game, the cue should display the number plate of the server 1 or No.2 to indicate the service order of the team. When the recorder finds that the service order is wrong, he should inform the referee immediately after serving and hitting the ball.

(2) Each team can hit the ball up to three times, and the tentacle hand that blocks the ball counts as one shot. The third time, the ball must be returned to the opponent's court from the net.

(3) Players are not allowed to drop the ball with their fingers to complete the offensive stroke.

(4) When a player finishes attacking with an overhand pass, the pass trajectory is not perpendicular to the shoulder line, which is a foul.

(5) When defending a heavy spike with an overhand pass, the ball is allowed to temporarily stagnate in the hand. When both players touch the ball online at the same time, they can "hold the ball".

(6) Players are allowed to enter the opponent's space, venue and barrier-free area without disturbing the opponent's competition.

(7) Any player can hit the ball at any height in the space of this court.

(8) In each game, each team can request a timeout of up to 4 times, each timeout lasts for 30 seconds, and any player can request a timeout from the referee.

(9) In any competition, when the score of both sides is 5, the recorder will inform the referee, and then the two sides will exchange venues. When changing venues, the team can have a rest time of 30 seconds. However, there is no rest time when the deciding game of two wins in three sets is exchanged.

(10) In the best-of-three game, all inter-game breaks are 5 minutes.

(eleven) players injured in the course of the game, can be given five minutes of recovery time, but the same player a game to give up to two recovery time. If a player fails to recover within 5 minutes or the same player recovers more than twice in a game, the team is declared incomplete.

comment

200 1 throughout the season, FIVB will try out the scoring system for each ball in beach volleyball competition, and at the same time change the venue from 9 m× 18 m to 8 m×16 m.

The scoring system for each goal is: two wins in three games, 2 1 point in each game. The team that wins the other team by two points or more is the winning team, and there is no upper limit for the score; If there is a score of 1 to 1, the third game will be played. The third game 15 points, the team that wins the other team by 2 points or more is the winning team in this game, and there is no upper limit for the score; In the first two games, when the scores of both sides add up to 10, the venue will be changed. In the third game, when the scores of both sides add up to 5 points, change venues. There is no rest every time you change venues, and no delay is allowed.

There are two pauses for each team in each game, 30 seconds each time; Inter-office break 1 min; In each game, the punishment for sports teams is not cumulative, but cumulative in each game. At the beginning of each game, recalculate the penalty times of the game; In each competition, each athlete is injured only once and is banned; The loser who draws lots in the first game has the right to choose at the beginning of the second game. If you play the third game, you will draw lots again.

At the next Congress of the World Beach Volleyball Council, according to the scoring system of each ball and the trial results of the venue, suggestions including the official competition rules of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games will be put forward to the 2002 FIVB Council. After the FIVB Council meeting, the competition rules in 2002, 2003 and 2004 will remain unchanged.

You may not pay much attention to beach volleyball. In fact, it is also a very wonderful sport. You can have a look.
