There are two kinds of individual medley lengths: 200m and 400m. Athletes must swim the same distance with four different strokes, with each stroke swimming a distance of 1/4. The order of strokes is butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. Freestyle must be a swimming style other than butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke.
Rules of team medley competition:
The whole journey is 400 meters. Four people in each team, each swimming 100 meters. In the order of backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle. Freestyle must be a swimming style other than butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke.
At the same time, it should be noted that:
1, each relay team must have four players, and any player who fouls in the relay race will be considered as a team foul.
2. Any relay team member can only take part in one relay race.
In the relay race, if the previous athlete of the team fails to touch the pool wall, and then the next athlete leaves the platform, it shall be regarded as a foul. If an athlete returns before swimming out of the pool and touches the pool wall with any part of his body, it is not a foul.
1) Athletes must finish the race on their own track, otherwise it will be regarded as a foul.
(2) Anyone who swims out of this lane or interferes or hinders other athletes in other ways shall be disqualified.

When disturbed or hindered athletes get excellent results because of a sports foul, they should be allowed to make up the match or directly participate in the finals. If the above situation occurs in the final, the group will have to play again (except for the foul players).
(4) During the competition, the athlete must make a certain part of his body contact the pool wall when he turns around. Turn around must be done from the wall of the pool, otherwise it will be considered a foul.

During the competition, no other swimming strokes (including freestyle) are allowed to cross or walk, otherwise it will be considered a foul.
(6)
During the competition, athletes are not allowed to use or wear any equipment (such as hands and flippers). That's good for their speed and buoyancy, otherwise it's a foul.

Each relay team should have four players, and any player who fouls in the relay race is regarded as a foul on the team. Any relay athlete can only take part in one relay race.

In the relay race, if the previous athlete of the team fails to touch the pool wall and the latter athlete leaves the platform, it shall be regarded as a foul. If an athlete returns before swimming out of the pool and touches the pool wall with any part of his body, it is not a foul.
(9) After swimming in the first three relay races, the athletes should leave the swimming pool as soon as possible without affecting other athletes' races, and must not touch the automatic timing devices in other lanes, otherwise a foul will be imposed. When all the athletes reach the finish line, they should leave the swimming pool as soon as possible, or they will be convicted of a foul.
(10) During the competition,
Before all the participating athletes have finished swimming, if the non-participating athletes enter the water, they should be disqualified from the next competition. In the relay race, before all the athletes in each team have finished swimming, if other relay athletes enter the water, the relay athletes will be disqualified.
