Visit the mysterious scenery (2)

Teacher Zhu finished the history of the mysterious view. Seeing us in the Hayes Pavilion, it was a little cold because of the strong wind, and he took us to the main gate.

After visiting the main entrance, we came to Sanqing Hall. Sanqing Hall is majestic. When you step into the Sanqing Hall, you can see the exquisite brick pedestal in the center of the hall, which enshrines the "Sanqing" gods: Jade Qing pastoral statue (also known as Tianbao Jun), Qing Lingbao Tianzun (also known as Taishang Daojun) and Taiqing moral Tianzun (also known as Taishang Laojun). The three statues are tall, lifelike, golden and plastic, kind-hearted and dignified. People in the temple worship the gods from time to time, hoping to realize all their good wishes. Some draw lots to see their future destiny. In the temple, Mr. Zhu introduced it a little softly. Out of respect for Taoist holy places, we didn't take pictures.

Out of the Sanqing Hall, the stone railing in front of the door caught our attention. A plaque on the wall said: the stone railing is hinged with pig iron and looks like a nail. Folks call it "nailed stone railing".

The railing was built in the Five Dynasties, consisting of 40 lotus columns, 30 hollowed-out handrail stones, East-West 12 relief stones to sit on the railing, and 6 inclined handrail arsenic stones. Relief patterns are simple in composition and vivid in image. On the left, there are deer drinking the East China Sea, Kirin celebrating its birthday, oriole singing green, deer holding Ganoderma lucidum, carp fish dragon, Cai Feng spreading its wings, eagle elk and two lions competing for life. On the right, there are hydrangea lion, Lei Gong Yun Teng, birthday fairy, eagle fighting dog, mosquito dragon playing pearl, golden monkey flat peach and so on. The relief is vivid and complete, and it is a rare artistic masterpiece in Jiangnan area.

There is an ancient well with a piece of wood in it on the west side of Sanqing Hall.

Legend has it that when the Milo Pavilion was built, the Dragon King dug a well to catch up with the construction period and transported the wood purchased by Zhenjiang out of the well. Finish the project ahead of schedule, and the logs that have not been hoisted have been in the well for many years.

At this time, it was getting late, and we left a permanent souvenir beside the bronze cow in front of Sanqing Hall.
