In the second year of Tang Yongchun (683), Wang Bo, a talented young man, went to yunmen temple to repair the wedge here, imitating Yonghe Ji Ya, and wrote the Preface to Wedge Repair similar to Preface to Lanting. In fact, this is a poetry competition in the early Tang Dynasty, when all the most outstanding poets in China were here. Why did Wang Bo choose yunmen temple? There seems to be a need for pen and ink here: yunmen temple, the former residence of Xian and his son Huiji; Later, Sun Zhiyong, the seventh disciple of Xihe, became an abbot here, leaving behind several stories such as "Iron Threshold", "Returning Home Writer" and "Thousand-character Writing". The most fascinating thing is that Zhiyong's apprentice Cai Bian accidentally lost the Preface to Lanting Collection. This yunmen temple should not be underestimated in the history of Buddhism in China. It is very enjoyable to look at the previous abbots, such as Bo, Fa Kuang, Zhu, Zhi Daolin, Hong Ming, and Zhi Yong, all of whom are pioneers; Later, Fan Zhongyan of the Northern Song Dynasty often went to yunmen temple when he was an official in Yuezhou. In the Southern Song Dynasty, young Lu You built a "Cloud Gate Cottage" here and studied hard. When the Ming Dynasty perished, Chen Hong slowly became a monk in yunmen temple, and his legal name was dying. This year is the third year of Qing Shunzhi (1646). 1644, 1645, 1646, some things that happened for three consecutive years are really intriguing and need to be recorded independently.
