What's the difference between NCAA and CUBA?

NCAA participating universities are almost all over the United States, and the participating teams are generally divided into leagues according to regions. A league has more than a dozen teams or dozens of teams, playing regularly, with one host and one guest. At present, there are 3 1 leagues recognized by NCAA, and the first place in each league automatically obtains the qualification to enter the top 64 NCAA. The other 33 places are selected by experts according to their strength. The top 64 will be divided into the Eastern District, the Western District, the Central and Western District and the Southeast District for the single-game elimination of neutral cities, and the champions in each district will be the last four. The semi-finals and finals are usually held in one city, and the rule is still single elimination. On the day of the final, the NBA will not play any games to show respect.

CUBA league starts in September every year and ends in June the following year, which is divided into three stages:

The first stage: preliminaries (every September-165438+ 10).

All provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and special administrative regions shall organize preliminaries respectively, and the specific time, place and competition mode shall be determined by major sports associations of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and special administrative regions or the preliminaries leading group established under the guidance of the organizing committee of CUBA League. The men's and women's champions in the preliminaries advance directly to the regionals.

The second stage: regional competition (next March)

According to geographical relations, the whole country is divided into four regions: southeast, southwest, northeast and northwest. The division method is as follows:

Southeast region: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan;

Southwest China: Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan, Chongqing and Tibet;

Northwest China: Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Henan and Hong Kong;

Northeast China: Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Hebei, Shandong and Macau.

The regionals will maintain the scale of 64 teams, with 65,438+06 teams (8 males and 8 females) in each division.

The men's and women's competitions in each division adopt the form of grouping and circulation first and then cross-elimination, and decide the champion of the division. The men's and women's champions and runners-up in each division advanced to the national finals (quarter-finals).

The third stage: the national final (April-June)

Women's quarterfinal

The competition system will be adopted. First of all, the two teams entered the final through the single elimination system, and the final adopted the home and away two-turn system. If the organizer enters the finals, the second finals will be moved to the location of the visiting team; Otherwise, the right to host the second Games will be decided by the two teams that entered the finals by drawing lots.

(2) Men's quarterfinals

Each round adopts the home and away two-turn system until the champion is decided.

The competition adopts 1998-2002 basketball competition rules (now the new competition rules are adopted after the State Sports General Administration has promulgated them). All competition time is controlled in four times, each time 10 minutes, and a technical pause is added in the second and fourth quarters respectively.
