Correct it first. Badinger is not a rookie selected by the Rockets. He was selected by the Pistons with the 44th overall pick in the second round in the 2009 draft. The Rockets traded him for the Pistons' next two draft picks and some cash. Several rookie players (Scolari, etc. ) the rockets have played well in recent years because of the draft deal, not the rockets' own choice.
