Songzheng Temple in Wutai Mountain, Shanxi Province was founded in Sui Dynasty, with a history of 1300 years. It is located in Wutai Mountain, which is the only place to go up the mountain in ancient times, so it is called the throat of the Five Peaks. In the first year of Yifeng in the Tang Dynasty, Indian Buddha worshipers made a pilgrimage to Taiwan Province (traditionally called Wutai Mountain pilgrimage), so they witnessed Manjusri Bodhisattva becoming a saint, returned to the Western Regions and demanded that the Buddha's top be superior to Dalagni's Sanskrit, and translated it into Chinese, and ordered to build a temple here. Covering an area of 32,300 square meters, the temple is the second largest Buddhist jungle in Wutai Mountain. * * * There are 350 halls, five jade buddhas, five giant zhangmu buddhas and more than 390 painted buddhas. Songzheng Temple is honored by the world as a "law-respecting" ancestral hall because the top of the Buddha is superior to the Dalagni Classic. There is a classic Song Dynasty building with a Buddha's top engraved in the temple, which has a history of nearly a thousand years.
