How did the stutter in "Young and Dangerous" lead to amnesia?

In the second movie "enter the dragon", when Haonan went to buy cigarettes, Xiao stuttered for the ring in the car, and then a big truck hit her (I think so). She lost her memory. But in the third "Absolute Monarch", as she lay dying, she remembered everything before.
