NBA Draft is an annual event held at Madison Square Garden in new york at the end of June every year. Players participating in the draft must be at least 19 years old, and American native players must also meet the requirement of graduating from high school for at least one year.
Rules for overseas players to participate in NBA draft
(a) In this section, "overseas player" means any amateur or professional basketball player who is designated to live outside the United States.
(b) Overseas players are eligible to participate in the NBA draft after reaching the age of 22. Any player who is over 22 years old and has not been selected in the draft on his 22nd birthday is called a rookie free agent.
(c) Despite the provisions in subsection (b) above, overseas players who have never participated in the American college basketball team are still eligible to participate in the draft before their 22nd birthday:
(1) Before conscription, he must be at least 18 years old;
(ii) He must give a written notice to the NBA 45 days before the draft starts, expressing his wish to be qualified to participate in the draft.
(d) If an overseas player plays for the American college basketball team in the season before the draft, he must abide by the provisions in Section 5 above on continuing to complete or give up college studies.
