The Football Association Community Shield is an annual tournament sponsored by the English Football Association. The champion of the English Football Super League plays against the champion of the English Football Association Cup. If the team wins both the Premier League and the FA Cup, the opposing team will be changed to the runner-up in the Premier League. As the opening match before the start of the season every year, the competition is traditionally held at Wembley Stadium. During the reconstruction of Wembley, it will be staged at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
The English Football League Cup, also known as the English League Cup, is a competition between all 92 clubs in England, regardless of level. This cup was founded by 1962 English Football League, with the purpose of allowing the club to have a competition based on the elimination system outside the league, so as to challenge the FA Cup, which was in charge of the English Football Association at that time, because the status of the FA Cup in the hearts of fans at that time was much higher than that of the league.
