What do you mean by three souls and seven spirits?

Soul: always refers to the spirit that can exist without the human body; Spirit: the old refers to the spirit attached to the form. Taoist language says that people have "three souls and seven spirits".

Three souls: Taoism says that people have three souls: one is fetal light, the other is refreshing, and the third is quiet essence. See Seven Signs of the Cloud, Volume 54.

Seven Spirits: Taoism says that people have seven spirits, each with its own name. The first is a corpse dog, the second is a prostrate tooth, the third is a deficiency of yin, the fourth is a thief swallowing, the fifth is non-toxic, the sixth is a decontamination, and the seventh is a stinky lung.
