Ride a horse and hit someone to escape on a snowy day. Does our traffic law allow cycling on the highway?

At present, the law does not stipulate whether horses can walk on urban roads as a means of transportation, and at the same time, it does not make targeted provisions, which has caused difficulties in law enforcement to some extent.

Recently, a traffic accident happened in datong district, Huainan City. Four young men hit a pedestrian on horseback, hit and run. The police said that his wife Gu was knocked down by four young people on horseback, and four people escaped after the accident.

Considering the complexity and particularity of the case, Datong Brigade immediately set up a case detection team after understanding the situation on the spot, quickly reported it to the detachment and brigade, and set up a task force. The task force learned about the injured and their families, and communicated and talked with their relatives. At present, four people involved are still at large.

Regarding whether it is possible to ride a horse on the road, the traffic police department explained that as long as there is no no sign on the provincial road, horses are allowed to pass.

Among the traffic ban signs, there is only a ban sign prohibiting the passage of rickshaws, and there is no ban sign prohibiting the passage of horses.

For riding on the highway, there is no prohibition in the current law. It is hoped that relevant departments will improve legislation as soon as possible to prevent accidents and reduce disputes to the maximum extent.
