Does Daqing Experimental Middle School need to take the placement test when it enters the new high school?

The entrance to the new high school of Daqing Experimental Middle School is just an examination. Most students will not be divided into classes no matter what their exam results are, but will study in the original class. Before the exam, 300 students can choose their own courses.

Daqing Experimental Middle School was founded in 1985, and was promoted to provincial key middle school in 1992. In 2000, it was promoted to the first demonstration high school in Heilongjiang Province, and in March 2005, it moved to the new campus located at No.6 Xiushui Road, High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The campus is located in the university park, adjacent to Northeast Petroleum University (formerly Daqing Petroleum Institute), Bayi Agricultural University and Daqing Campus of Harbin Medical University, surrounded by Liming Lake, Binzhou Lake, Daqing Academy, Daqing Opera House, Daqing Olympic Center and swimming pool.
