Because I asked to apply for WHV in Australia, I need an IELTS average score of 4.5. I plan to take the G class in two months and study by myself.

First of all, the IELTS listening and speaking questions are the same whether they are Class A or Class G, and the main difference between them is reading and writing. So how to choose preparation books or study materials?

As we all know, Cambridge IELTS Zhenti is a necessary book for IELTS preparation, and G candidates are no exception. The book contains questions of Class A and Class G, so it is also the first choice for IELTS preparation materials of Class G (training).

Class g IELTS reading:

I have introduced the specific differences between IELTS reading Class A and Class G before. Simply put, there are 10 types of A-type questions in IELTS reading test. There are 1 1 kinds of G-type questions. Generally speaking, the test questions are the same or similar. Therefore, there are few reference books about G class on the market at present. Many IELTS teachers or some training schools suggest G-class candidates to do A-class IELTS reading exercises to cope with the G-class IELTS reading test.

Class g IELTS writing:

The difference between Class A and Class G writing is limited to the first essay. Although the second composition has different exam topics, they are all IELTS writing topics in recent years. Both of them often communicate and repeat the previous questions, which shows that it is quite difficult. If G candidates want to practice their first composition in a targeted way, they can refer to the online IELTS test. The topic of the first composition of Class G is very limited, so you don't need to buy extra books.

Preparation method:

1. If you have an average English foundation, you must spend time memorizing words instead of reading articles. This method of memorizing words is very good for girls with good English talent, but for most ordinary people, you must take the time to memorize them. I strongly recommend IELTS's little red book of New Oriental, and recite this word book completely. Every word is translated into English and the pronunciation is familiar. Most words have to be memorized.

Memorizing words is a process that takes time and is polished repeatedly. In the past, in order to prepare for the Gre exam, I memorized 65,438+000 words every day, reviewed them every few days, tossed them over and over, and then memorized them. You can't remember words well because you don't repeat them enough.

Cambridge 4-9 is the best review material, and each set of review questions is precious. You'd better not do the above questions before you have laid a solid foundation. It's a waste. The most important thing now is to pass the words quickly, and then find something like "black eyes" to practice your ears. When the foundation is solid and the state is completely adjusted, brush Cambridge 4-9. If you do 4-9 now, you will be wrong, and then you will remember the answer, and you will not be able to review next time, thus ruining the puzzle. IELTS doesn't have many good topics for people to review. It is strongly recommended that you have a certain foundation before doing this set of questions.

Practice listening, but you can't hear the effect just by listening. The best way is to dictate, listen to a sentence, pause and write down the whole sentence yourself. When I first started practicing, I must have wanted to hit the wall with pain. After this adaptation period, I will be fine.

Let's talk about my personal review opinions:

1. Personally, I think the most important thing for you now is to pass on the message quickly. Buy a new Oriental IELTS red book, recite the words quickly, and then do the questions after reciting 70% of the words. The effect is better.

When you recite the words almost, you can practice listening, speaking, reading and writing, and listening can be done as I said above.

3. Oral English should be practiced every day. If the economic situation permits, I can buy a few months of oral English training courses on Taobao. Before studying abroad, I bought oral English on Taobao for three months, about 200 yuan every month, *** 10 hour every month (half an hour every day). Chatting with foreign teachers in the Philippines (the Philippines was a British colony at that time, and English was very good), and I worked as an intern for three months.

4. Recite the words first when reading. It is very relaxing and pleasant to read after reciting the words. Reading IELTS articles is similar to reading story clubs. Quality should be emphasized at the beginning of IELTS reading practice, and speed should be emphasized after state adjustment. IELTS reading is not difficult, with a large number of questions.

5. To write this, first turn off the words, then look at the 8 and 9 points of Cambridge 49, and then imitate. Practice by yourself, get several sets of your own templates, practice each topic in place, and 5.5 points is a piece of cake.

Good luck with your studies!
