Rules of Chess Competition: Arrangement Principles and Specific Methods of Overall Arrangement System

First, the number of athletes (teams) should be even.

The second is to determine and announce several rounds of the competition in advance. The number of rounds should be determined according to the number of participants (teams) and the number of admission places, which can be roughly double the number of rounds required for the knockout round, and appropriately increased or decreased, but at least not less than seven rounds to reduce contingency. The number of rounds in individual competitions should be odd, so that the number of rounds taken by athletes tends to be balanced as much as possible, with a difference of at most one.

Three, each round of all athletes (teams) to rearrange once, to determine the opponent, in turn. The opponents we meet are no longer right, and we also try to take turns to take care of the balance of everyone (team).

The specific arrangement procedures are as follows:

(a) the first round should be based on the "grade" of athletes (teams) (the average "grade" of the team) or the results of previous competitions, or it may be decided to merge one of them. For players who are not graded, draw lots to arrange the order, and rank behind the graded players (this method can be compared when ranking according to the results of previous competitions). Then divide them into two groups with equal numbers of adults (teams), and draw lots for one person (team) from each group to form a pair, and draw lots to decide to go one after another.

(2) From the second round, each round is arranged according to the highest score of the integral segment (an integral segment sometimes consists of more than one score layer, such as one 9-point, three 8-points, or one 9-point, two 8-points, and one 7-point, etc.). , the whole should be considered as a whole segment), and the same scores are arranged in pairs. People with the same score have met or have no same score, so they will match the people with the closest score until they are all cleared.

After several rounds of competition, it is impossible to completely discharge from top to bottom. When there is a stuck situation, it can be discharged from the lowest point to the stuck place, so that it can be fully discharged. If it still cannot be discharged, the last pair or pairs discharged from the top will be disassembled and rearranged until they are all discharged. In principle, arrange from high score to low score, and try to keep proper arrangement in high stratification. When it is really not possible, it is necessary to solve it from the bottom up to prevent unnecessary moving from both ends to the middle, so as to ensure the rationality of the arrangement and the accuracy of the competition.

(3) Under the game principle of following the same score or near score first, try to balance the number of times that each person (team) walks successively, and give priority to the pairing of the former and the latter, but this does not affect the feasibility of matching integer segments into the optimal logarithm. Players with the same conditions are more first and then less, and the lottery decides to go one by one.

(4) When two athletes (teams) who have walked twice first or twice later meet, in order to avoid walking three times first or three times in a row as far as possible, the one who walked twice first or twice in a row should first balance the continuous walking, and only draw lots to determine the continuous walking.

In the case that the balance of priorities has been considered in the middle rounds, if there are still three pairs in the last round, it will not be disassembled and rearranged.

(5) In order to avoid the imbalanced admission times of high scores as much as possible, starting from the penultimate third round, all athletes (teams) with different scores will be given priority to balance high scores according to the principle of "low scores obey high scores". However, in the final round, when continuous walking can't achieve balance or close to balance, only the high-scoring athletes (teams) with 1 point (2 points for their teams) and above 1 point (2 points for their teams) can achieve balance. If the difference between two people (teams) is only 0.5? Points (the team is 1? ), or draw lots to decide to go first.

Four, all the arrangement work should be carried out in a combination of lottery and manual arrangement, suitable for lottery, not manual arrangement.

By drawing lots, the following principles must be met:

(1) Integer segments can be completely paired on the premise of walking in a balanced order, so that there will be no obstacles due to the use of lottery.

(2) Even if it is difficult to completely meet the requirements of balanced sequential walking, integer segments can be completely matched and will not be hindered by the use of lottery.

Without violating the above principles, numbers with the same conditions (the same points or the same number of walks) can participate in the lottery, otherwise they should be arranged manually.

Prepare for pre-drainage in advance to lay a good foundation for finding the best drainage scheme smoothly.

Five, to determine the order of the lottery principle is:

(1) "From high to low". That is, from high score to low score.

(2) "not much tone". For example, there are five three-first-two-later and three two-first-three-later on the floor with a score of 7, and the latter should draw the former.

(3) "The odd wheels are drawn from the trumpet first, and the even wheels are drawn from the large ones first". According to the previous example, the last three figures should be executed according to this paragraph.

However, when implementing the above principles, if there is a "limit number" that is difficult to match, it can be given priority as a special case to avoid the card being blocked.

The lottery method can be used appropriately to determine the order.

Six, if the scheduled time has arrived, and some games have not yet ended, in the arrangement, you can temporarily score according to the draw between the two sides. After that, regardless of the outcome of the game, the content of this arrangement is effective.

Seven, about the same unit athletes (teams) whether it is necessary to avoid pairing, can be determined in advance by the competition organization and written into the supplementary provisions.
