After practicing in the cave, the female louse felt thirsty for a moment, that is, she stepped out of the cave and saw a small stone with wet soil in front of it. She pried open a spring, and the spring kept flowing out, and the water quality was sweet and delicious, so she lived in a cave for a long time to practice. Later, the spring eye was dug into a well, and the spring water in the well was inexhaustible all year round, sweet and mellow.
At midnight, the mother louse fairy was practicing monasticism when she was awakened by the buzzing sound of mosquitoes. I saw mosquitoes everywhere, like clouds. He concluded that there must be a mosquito hole nearby. The next morning, after careful observation and searching, he saw a small cave on a small slope behind the cave, in which countless small mosquitoes were flying. This is indeed a mosquito hole for mosquitoes. He believes that mosquitoes are blood-sucking insects that harm people and animals and must be removed quickly. So he sat cross-legged at the mouth of the cave, chanting the mosquito-killing mantra, picked up a small stone to seal the mouth of the cave, and then shoveled a small piece of soil (called "grass ruffian" in Chaoshan dialect) to cover it. Since then, all mosquitoes have disappeared, and the mother louse fairy is no longer disturbed by mosquitoes, so she can concentrate on monasticism. Later, the mosquito cave was discovered by a villager named Zheng, who had been squatting beside the mother louse fairy. He thought it must be a treasure trove of geomantic omen, so he named this place "Mosquito Cave" and built his ancestral grave in Mosquito Cave, called "Mosquito Tomb".
In 1950s and 1960s after liberation, cattle farmers in Shipai Township at the foot of the mountain went up the mountain to release cattle, and regarded the caves as "cattle huts", so they were called "cloth-bag cattle huts". Villagers who herd cattle often spend the night in Niuliao. In order to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes while sleeping, they all imitated the mosquito control practice of the mother louse fairy and blocked the "mosquito hole", but the "mosquito hole" was buried by Zheng's ancestors, so the villagers took a piece of soil to cover the word "tomb" on Zheng's tombstone to "suppress" mosquitoes. Therefore, every year, when descendants of the Zheng family in Tomb-Sweeping Day go into the mountains to pay homage to the "Mosquito Tomb", they will find that the word "Tomb" on their tombstones is covered with mud.
In order to commemorate the mother louse fairy, later generations named the cave "Wild Yunyan" and called the spring eyes carved by the mother louse fairy "Fairy Spring". The spring water is still endless, sweet and mellow. In the cave, there is a golden statue of He Zuo for good men and women to worship, and there is an inscription of a fairy on the wall, which adds to the glory of victory. Today, Ye Yunyan has become a highlight of the famous Fengmen Ancient Road Scenic Spot in Pu Sang.
He (1325 1393) was originally a Taoist and was born in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties. At the end of Yuan Dynasty, he went down the mountain as a strategist, assisted the Red Scarf Army in Chen Youliang, and competed with the insurgents led by Zhu Yuanzhang and Liu Bowen as a strategist. Later, Chen Youliang was defeated, and he and Ye Yun traveled around the world. Because there are many lice, unkempt appearance and strange behavior, people call them "female lice fairy" Travel in Chaoshan area, send love to the mountains and rivers. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, He Ye Yun went to Chaozhou Prefecture, mainly Chaoyang, Jieyang and Haiyang, to build secluded houses for people and guide the construction of Feng Shui, and became a famous Mr. Feng Shui. He is skilled, and it is said that sometimes he will hum something like "Life is not enough, which affects the sorrow of the Yangtze River and Wan Li" ... The mountains and rivers are all there.
Chen Youliang, a brave military strategist, changed her name to He, and the folk called her the mother louse fairy, which has become the patron saint of Chaoshan area and is a unique folk custom in Chaoshan. What, the mother louse fairy, won the hearts of Chaoshan people because of her outstanding merits. After she ascended to heaven, there were temples all over Chaoshan to commemorate this immortal teacher, and the incense was flourishing. What is the memorial of Chaoshan people building temples? Mainly include: He Xianling in Guiyu, Chaoyang, Huxianfu Tiangong, Xiancheng Sanxian Palace, Jiedong Fengmen Ancient Road Sanxian Temple, Boluo Fusai Temple, Puning Shujiao Village Yunchang Temple, Chaonan Xiashan Wei Long Temple, Jiexi Huangshan Wang Gong Temple, Aotou Wei Long Temple, Shantou Qishan Ancient Temple, Jingang Weilong Temple, Pan Nan Liaolongwei Temple, Gaocheng Ancient Temple and Jiashan Temple. At present, there are more than 60 temples dedicated to He in Chaoshan, and there are countless temples in Yishe. There are nearly 100 parent-teacher conferences of Wei Longwang in Pengxia Town, longhu district, Shantou City.
According to various historical materials and folklore, it is clearly recorded that the "mother louse fairy" is Chen Youliang's strategist, and it is recorded in Chaoyang County Records, which is the only official document. There is no doubt about it. The female louse fairy "He" does exist, but it's not her real name. In addition, from the common sense of life, we will tell people who are close, familiar and trusted around us. Mother lousxian built a village in the city for Zhao Xiu in Xiancheng, built the Zhao Ancestral Hall, the Migang site of the 5,000-year-old cemetery (it is said that the skeleton was demolished), the Shuangfeng Nest case of the second tomb of Pingtian, and the tiger site of the third tomb of Bichuan. Having done so many projects, she must know Zhao Bichuan very well and have a deep friendship. Therefore, the Zhao family should know the life experience of the female louse fairy, which was handed down from Xiancheng. Mother louse fairy used to be Chen Youliang's strategist. The mother louse fairy He Fenggang Lushi, the mother louse fairy built a stockade for Fenggang Lushi, the fourth ancestor cemetery Feifeng dike, and the fourth grandmother's tomb Shibiling Chicken Mother Stone. Their friendship is by no means ordinary. Mother louse fairy also has an adopted daughter in Fenggang. According to common sense, after getting along with each other for a long time, the female louse fairy will tell them her life story: the identity of Chen Youliang's military adviser. Now Xiancheng and Fengbu have been handed down from generation to generation, that is, the female louse fairy was once the strategist of Chen Youliang. This is consistent with the popular saying in Chaoshan. Chaoyang County Records also confirmed this statement.
According to records, He Xianzhe, commonly known as the female louse fairy, was later renamed He. That is, in A.D. 1362, He Ye Yun helped Chen Youliang to compete with Zhu Yuanzhang for the world and was defeated. In the 28th year of Zheng Zheng, namely 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang unified the world and renamed it the first year of Ming Hongwu. In the sixth year of Hongwu, namely 1373, He came to Chaoshan and began to live in seclusion in Litchi Rock, Fengmen Ancient Road, Jingjiao Xianliao, Pu Sang Jinjiba Back Gate, Fenggang and Shanmencheng. He Xian's whereabouts are unpredictable. Later, I often lived in the home of Lu Kuan, the fourth ancestor of Lu family in Fenggang. It is also famous for being good at building ancestral temples, pavilions, surrounding villages, bridges leading to Tianjin, excavating Jing Quan and building navigation channels convenient for shipping. He Xian is also famous for being good at divination and geomantic omen. He Xian, also known as Di Xian, has traveled all over Chaoshan. In the 26th year of Hongwu, namely 1393, He Xian died at the age of 68. According to his instructions, Master Lu built a grave for him in Fengjing, outside Fenggang Township, with the inscription: He Xianling.
At the end of a poem is He's "Mother louse" and his posthumous work "Preface to He Chaozhou's Famous Residence":
Who knew it was a fairy?
Wild cranes fly alone year after year.
The clouds dispersed from where the cows slept.
Stay with the world and plant blessings.
This poem is a Tibetan poem, and the first word of each line is linked together, that is, "he ye Yun Liu", which shows that this poem was left by He Yeyun, and it also shows that the stone works in Chaoshan area are a cultural heritage wealth left to Chaoshan area. The second sentence "The wild crane flies alone every year" shows that he has been lonely for many years since the defeat of Chen Youliang. In the third sentence, "cattle sleeping place" is a metaphor for the land of geomantic omen. All the engineering buildings of He Xian's help village in Chaoshan are the crystallization of his superb skills. The last sentence shows the fate of He Xian and Chaoshan people, which means to persuade the world to have a good marriage.
According to the original records of thirteen essays in the 13th year of Guangxu (1884), "Those who had a mother fairy in the early Ming Dynasty were good at the technique of Wuqin, and when they reached Chaoyang, they chose a place for others, but did not stand firm. When they listen to people's complacency, their minds are full of good and bad luck, and every time they meet their squatting place, their minds are full of auspicious places. Or, he came here from Chen Youliang's defeated army, pretending to be crazy, but in the end he couldn't know the details. He lives in Lujia, Fenggang, and there is a grave outside his hometown, which is said to be a burial place. "
From some legends such as "digging a fairy spring to save the disaster" and "turning pit water into wine is not bad", we can know that the mother louse fairy He walked on the Chaoshan land as a Taoist.
What the mother loushen said in her posthumous work "Preface to the Famous Place of He Chaozhou" further proves that the mother loushen is a Taoist, and this fact is also proved by the above documents. Zou Pusheng is a white lotus believer and a Taoist, so he is Ye Yun, the mother louse fairy, and probably Zou Pusheng. This result is possible.
Mother louse Xianhe even said in her posthumous work "Preface to Notes on Famous Places in Chaozhou": "The country doesn't care, the family doesn't care, and the ambition is beyond the dust". It can be seen that since Chen Youliang's defeat, there is no country and no home in her heart, and the mother louse fairy sends her love to mountains and rivers, and wild ducks are in the clouds.
"He" is the pseudonym of Chen Youliang's military adviser, which is logical. From the literal meaning of these two names, "he" means "I don't know where I come from" or "I don't want to tell the world where I come from". It seems to imply that he "lived in the mountains after changing his name and surname"; "Wild Cloud" is easier to understand, which means "no politics, no worldly disputes, no worldly wealth, and I am willing to send my feelings to the mountains and rivers, live a life of idle clouds and wild cranes, and be happy and detached." This understanding is completely in line with historical records and folklore.
According to an insider in Fenggang Township, in 1970, when Hughes was founded, he opened the tomb of the mother louse fairy, which contained a robe and a dust brush. It can be seen that the mother louse fairy was a Taoist priest before her death, which is beyond doubt. But it doesn't prove that this is just a tomb with clothes on it. Why? According to people who have experience in moving graves, in the humid environment of Chaoshan, bones are buried underground, and if they are dry in mountainous areas, bones can exist for about 300 years. Of course, what we are talking about here is the burial method of Chaoshan people, not a specially treated and extremely dry place like Egyptian mummies. These bones can exist for more than a thousand years. In wet places, it disappeared in decades and became soil. This experience has been proved by many parties. He once moved a grave for about 30 years, and the bones in it have disappeared. Therefore, according to this analysis, the tomb of the mother louse fairy is located on the wet edge of the Lianjiang River, and sometimes even floods, and water will overflow the tomb, so the bones of the mother louse fairy cannot be preserved for a long time. The female louse died in 1393, and it has been 577 years since 1970. For 600 years, her skeleton has turned into dirt with great probability. To sum up, it can be concluded that the female louse fairy must have been a Taoist when she was alive. This is consistent with many legendary images circulated by the people.
From another historical fact, why didn't Zhu Yuanzhang pursue the missing Chen Youliang strategist? After the death of Chen Youliang in the Battle of Poyang Lake, Chen Liling led the troops to retreat to Wuchang, and they trusted their son Chen Li as emperor. Soon, the Ming army defeated Wuchang and Chen Li surrendered. Zhang Dingbian, the first valiant soldier in the late Yuan Dynasty, fled to Buddhism (living in seclusion on Lingyuan Mountain in Jinjiang, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, collecting medicine to save people, and there are many legends about him in the local area. Later, he lived to be 99 years old, and there were three emperors in the Ming Dynasty. As a Chen Youliang strategist who worked with Zhang Dingbian, he went to Chaoshan to be a fairy, and both of them went back to their homes). Zhu Yuanzhang sent Chen Li abroad, sent him to North Korea and died in North Korea. Zhu Yuanzhang was kind to Chen Youliang's father and mother, and Chen Youliang's brother Chen Youliang also led the army to surrender after learning that his parents and nephew were safe.
There is a saying in the Shurangama Sutra: "There is no Tathagata wisdom and no sentient beings, but it is impossible to prove it by delusion." "Put down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha" is a convenient way of saying these two verses. In the eyes of Buddhists, all beings have Buddha nature. Even the "bad guys" who did evil in the past can achieve Bodhi Buddha fruit if they can change their minds and abandon evil and do good. For example, in Hokkekyo, the Buddha gave a memorial to devadatta, who was born with Buddha's blood. He should be a Buddha in the future. "Put down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha" has therefore become a classic language to persuade the wicked to stop doing evil and concentrate on doing good.
"Zuo Zhuan Gong Xuan Two Years" said: "No one has made a mistake, but he can correct it, and it is not good."
"Mother louse fairy" He was a strategist in Chen Youliang's period, and it was recorded in Chaoyang County Records, which is the only official document. There is no doubt about it. And it is also recorded in the inscription rebuilt by He Xianling. The female louse fairy "He" does exist, but it is not a real name, just a pseudonym. Throughout the ages, there are countless strange people who have not been recorded in historical documents, so there is no need to research the real name of the former Chen Youliang strategist "He". It is impossible to verify the specific historical facts more than 600 years ago (some documents can only be referenced), and there is definitely no definite answer. Let it become a beautiful mystery and magical legend in people's hearts.
