Experience sharing of political science postgraduate entrance examination in National University of Defense Technology

My total score is 403, politics 7 1, English -69, introduction to politics 127, local government and politics 136.

First, about choosing schools and setting majors.

(1) The main reasons why I chose to major in political science at National University of Defense Technology are as follows: First, considering whether I can stay and work in Chengdu after graduation, the most important factor is that Chengdu is not far from my hometown and has the possibility to stay and work here; Second, although my undergraduate major is ideological and political education, I have been exposed to some political science in the undergraduate training plan, so I have some interest in understanding and further learning.

(2) The major of political science in National University of Defense Technology is divided into four directions: political theory, international relations, the history of China Party, and scientific society (scientific socialism and international capitalist movement). The first two directions belong to the School of International Relations. The latter two directions belong to the Marxist Institute, and the initial contents of different directions are the same. The second interview will be different according to different institutions, and I will elaborate on it in the following postgraduate experience. I think the difficulty of the postgraduate entrance examination for political science major in National University of Defense Technology is above average, mainly because the number of students admitted is relatively small. The total number of places of the two institutions should be 12- 15, except for the places exempted from examination.

(3) The major of political science in National University of Defense Technology has changed obviously. The bibliography has been changed in the past two years. Before the entrance examination of 20 19, the reference books of 982 were Wang Puqu's Fundamentals of Political Science and Yang Guangbin's Introduction to Political Science. 632 is Xu Datong's History of Western Political Thought; The reference books of 982 in 2020 are Principles of Political Science and Principles of Political Science by Yan. 202 1 982 has not changed, and the history of 632 western political thoughts has been directly cancelled and replaced by political science synthesis. The bibliography is Sun Guanhong's Introduction to Political Science. As can be seen from the change of bibliography, the proposition of political science is now more inclined to a deeper topic, and is no longer a simple concept of political science.

Second, the initial experience.

1, specialized course

This specialized course contains many contents, which can be subdivided into four parts: the principle of political science, the history of western political thought, an introduction to international political science and the theory of western international relations. Review takes time and energy. When reviewing, make a rough division first, and then connect these contents in series to facilitate understanding and memory.

For example, the principles of political science mainly focus on political power, state, political system (political party and party system, democracy and rule of law, electoral system, parliamentary system), political groups, political ideology, political development and other issues.

When reviewing the principles of political science, the reference books mainly include Introduction to Political Science edited by Sun Guanhong (the second edition of Fudan erudite series). ). The domestic ideology is not so strong, obviously overseas, but there is no lack of local care, which is an excellent political science textbook in China;

British Haywood's "Politics" is a book written by western scholars, but its viewpoint is objective and neutral, involving comprehensive knowledge points, and it is a rare good book for learning political science.

Comparative Political System (Cao Zhu), Higher Education Press, etc. ) Let you have a deep understanding of western constitutionalism, rule of law, democracy and various political systems and principles (sovereignty belongs to the people, separation of powers), including the enumeration and comparison of corresponding political thoughts and thinkers' views, which is very beneficial to deepen your understanding of western political systems and concepts. It is highly recommended here.

The Principles of Modern Political Analysis by Peking University Yan (there is another fifteen lectures on political science, the content of which is almost the same) is strikingly consistent with Haywood's Political Science, but it also has its own uniqueness, which needs careful study.

The importance of Mr. Xu and Mr. Xu's lecture on "Political Principles and Comparative Politics" will not be repeated, and naturally it will come to the level of back communication. Both handouts are very concise and need to be understood and developed by yourself. Teacher Pan's lecture notes, in particular, are no longer so rigorous to some extent. At first glance, what he said is a bit absurd and confusing. In fact, after you really read them, you will find that Teacher Pan is a thoughtful scholar.

In addition, American Ruskin's "Politics",

Yang Guangbin's Introduction to Political Science is well written. I suggest that students review according to their own time and needs.

The history of western political thought is the content that must be reviewed, and it is an indispensable supplement to the knowledge of political principles. For example, the short answer of 20 1 1 involves the meaning of Hobbes Leviathan. Although everyone knows it, it is difficult to write a high-level answer without carefully reviewing the history of political thought. In addition, answering essay questions also needs to be supported by arguments in the history of thought, and whether the arguments are substantial is definitely an important criterion for examining questions. Review reference books are mainly the History of Western Political Thought, and you can also refer to Hema's books.

Teacher Tang's book takes the thread of ideological development as a clue, which is definitely an ideological feast, but it seems that it is not well organized, which is definitely a test for people with poor foundation. Hema's books are introduced one by one with characters as clues, which are clear and coherent, but lack the depth and coherence of thought. These two books complement each other and are easy to understand and remember.

To review Introduction to International Politics, we must first understand what this subject is about and what basic contents it contains. Generally speaking, this course mainly focuses on international political actors and their behaviors, as well as related theoretical issues surrounding the formation of international political actors and their behaviors. International political actors include countries, government organizations and non-governmental organizations. International political behavior includes war, peace and conflict. The development of each factor contains many contents. For a country, it can extend sovereignty, comprehensive national strength, international pattern, national interests, nationality and nationalism. War and Peace involves the theme of the times, armaments and their control, war in the nuclear age, national security, terrorism and so on.

(1) Be sure to recite many details. First, the previous Basic Politics (982) involved most of the contents of Wang Puqu's Basic Politics, but now the scope of the topic is obviously not only related to the contents of this book, especially the contents that are not carefully explained in the noun explanation book. The short answer questions are basically the same as before. The topic of the thesis is closely combined with current politics, so students should pay attention to the possible political science foundation while reviewing politics. At present, the test questions are still noun explanation, short answer and discussion. It is worth noting that the noun explanation is not eight choices, but eight noun explanations. The short answer is not seven choices, but five direct short answers, and the discussion is not three choices, but two direct discussions, so don't take any chances when reviewing, and each one should be put in place. Second, the explanation and short answers of terms in the History of Western Political Thought (632) are more conventional, and the writing of the essay questions has changed a little. In the past, the most common test question was the comment and influence on the political thought of a single thinker, but now the discussion obviously requires more candidates, requiring a macro grasp of the whole history of western political thought, such as the evolution of political rights, the evolution and development of natural law and the influence on the political system.

(2) In addition to deductive details, we should also grasp the big framework, and grasp the framework of each chapter and section, preferably in the form of an outline. Although many people say that the outline is useless, everything you do is not useless. This year's history of western political thought examines the evolution of western concept of rights and the development and evolution of natural law. If your knowledge is isolated, it is difficult to answer this question well.

(3) It is impossible to review all the knowledge in the review process, and some knowledge can't be found directly in books. Don't panic in this case, but be sure to know everything on the guarantee. I started to learn specialized courses and English words in April and May this year. Don't stretch the front too long, but make sure you can prepare for the review in no time. After the school started in September, I began to recite professional courses. I read the book three times before I finished reciting it. I can't remember how many times I recited it, at least seven or eight times. We have five reference books, which are repetitive and less stressful. We must memorize them in a down-to-earth manner.

2. English

English should be reviewed as soon as possible. First, words: we must lay a good foundation, and we must try our best to master the vocabulary needed for the postgraduate entrance examination. I used a little red book; As long as you start studying early and read and write the last unit every day, this task is easy to complete. Only when you learn the words can you know what you want. Moreover, I copied the important or unknown words in the real questions over the years, together with his sentence, in my notebook for later memorization.

Second, reading: you must do real questions, and you can study all real questions thoroughly without doing simulation questions. I did my real question three times. Tang Chi's reading class is highly recommended here. He has made it clear how to solve problems and interpret articles. Before listening to Tang Chi's lecture, I was in a very confused state. After listening to his class, I feel that my thinking is much clearer and I have mastered many answering skills.

The third is the new question type. I watched Li Yuji's class. His video is only updated to 15, but his skills can still be universal.

Fourth, reading: the size of the real essay must be memorized. Even if you can't remember the whole article completely, you should be able to remember the core sentences and key sentences of the topic. I don't recommend reciting other compositions, but it doesn't matter if you have enough energy, because the topics involved in the real composition can basically cope with the exam.

Fifth, translation and gestalt. I don't have any good experience in this respect, because I have not prepared for these two questions. Gestalt in recent years is quite simple. Don't worry too much. If you translate, you will practice translating while analyzing reading, but you must write it down. Handwriting is completely different from translating in your mind.

3. Politics (to be prepared later)

In the initial stage, I saw Xiao Xiurong's exquisite lecture. At first, I found it difficult to get into them. According to Xu Tao's video matching, Xu Tao speaks very well and is humorous. After that, you must do the 1000 question carefully, which is really very important for laying a good foundation. 1000 problem can't be done too many times. I have done it three times, but I feel a little eager for quick success when I do it. In fact, many knowledge points are forgotten without review.

Finally, Xiao Xiurong's four sets of volumes must be carefully recited, and then you will find that Xiao Da is Xiao Da for a reason.

Xu Tao recited 20 sprint questions, and I recited them two or three times. For Xu Tao's book, candidates need to have enough adaptability in the examination room, and there is no way to combine the questions with the answers in Huang Xiao's book. So overall, Xiao Si's subjective question is the most important. I don't recommend doing real questions about politics, because the changes of politics every year are very time-sensitive, so the real questions won't be tested every year, but you can look at the real questions and see what their thinking is, that is, how to write them. You can study this, but you don't have to pay attention to the content and scores of the real questions.

Third, the second interview experience

(1) First, the written test. The topic of the written test mainly refers to China's History of Political Thought by Cao Deben, and will focus on China's thoughts in political history. Interviews in the Institute of International Relations mainly include English interviews and professional interviews. When preparing for the second interview, everyone should pay attention to accumulating some English expressions related to international politics. English self-introduction is second. It is important to be able to answer the corresponding professional questions. Usually, you can strengthen your oral practice and English conversation language organization ability on the spot. Because the problems of specialized courses are uncertain, it is necessary to review the bibliography of previous preliminary tests several times to deal with the related problems of political science foundation.

(2) The process of English interview: the first step is to introduce yourself within two minutes (the more refined, the better, not too complicated). The second step is to read two English newspapers and translate them on the spot (there is no time to think between reading and translation, so you must think about the meaning of what you read in your mind when reading). Step three, ask the teacher questions (random and not fixed).

(3) The interview process of specialized courses: the first step is to introduce yourself within two minutes; The second step, randomly draw lots to choose the topic, answer two out of three, and have one or two minutes to think; The third step, if you have time to answer the specialized courses, you will ask some other questions, which are random; If the specialized course is finished in exactly 15 minutes, there will be no more problems.

Fourth, summary.

In fact, the postgraduate entrance examination is not as difficult as we thought. First of all, the hardest thing is that you should be strict with yourself, endure loneliness and boring review of life every day, and remember not to fish for three days and dry the net for two days. Once you set a goal, you should carry it out as a belief, stick to it and never give up. Secondly, we should build a confidence based on strength. We should not doubt ourselves, but believe in ourselves. Finally, the mentality problem. You should be peaceful and not lose too much. Just prepare hard and leave the rest to God. Those who forget to eat and sleep for the postgraduate entrance examination and suffer from depression have problems with their own mentality. How can they still play their best? Anyway, I ate and slept every day until the day of the exam, and I didn't think of any strange questions. I believe that students who have taken the postgraduate entrance examination have a valuable quality, that is, self-discipline and stable mentality. There is a good motto: Freedom comes from self-discipline. Maybe you didn't go ashore after this trip, but when you look back, you have formed a richer and more determined self inside. Come on, take the postgraduate entrance examination!
